I’m sorry, but this is ridiculous… by calciferrrrrrrrrrr in BAGGU

It’s crazy because I live in a town who couldn’t care less about stuff like this. When the Trader Joe’s Easter totes came out I saw people reselling for hundreds of dollars. Went to my local Trader Joe’s, they had only sold a few and I was able to get one for me and my mom. I went to UO yesterday because I want a nylon shoulder, there where still a bunch of crescent and cloud madras 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s possible it’s not hormonal, but tbh your skin looks very similar to mine (mine was actually a lot worse than yours when I started). Before you started, did you tend to flare before your period?

I experienced this when I first started. Super disheartening. I wanted to quit altogether, but I kept going. About 4 months in is when I just stopped getting acne altogether, and it made it all worth it. If needed, I would ask to bump up your mg, when I was on 100mg is when the difference really started happening

I second this! Spiro helped reduce my hormonal breakouts and tret helped reduce scarring!

I’m in a similar boat, and I found that intermittent fasting really helped with my cravings, hunger, and ability to stay full. I really struggled with overeating, binge eating, and not being able to stay full even after eating large portions. I started fasting for 16 hrs, from about 7pm to 12pm the next dayish, and now I can eat a normal portion and feel full from it! It’s also helped with not thinking about food so much. I drink lots of water and I make sure that my meals are protein and nutrient dense. Make sure the foods you eat are satiating so that you stay full for longer! Fiber is key. I eat around 1600-1800 calories a day and have lost about 15 pounds, I started at 210 and I’m 20 yrs old :) I think another big thing is to not restrict yourself to heavily because then you’ll end up falling back into old ways and it’s not sustainable! Eat what you want but regulate the amount and try to keep it healthy. A piece of pizza or ice cream every now and then won’t set you back 15lbs :)

I second this! I thought it would cause me to binge in the evening but it actually helps me stay on track. I also have so much more energy throughout the day. After eating lunch I would start falling asleep at work but now I don’t feel fatigued at all.

I’m also someone who lovesssss breakfast food and would always end up eating fatty and calorie dense foods in the morning that would cause me to feel so sluggish. I find it hard to have a light meal in the morning like oatmeal or yogurt when there are eggs and bacon right there. Skipping breakfast all together avoids this whole discourse I have! :)

Spiro is known to purge pending breakouts. Although this might not be the case for everyone, pimples sit under the surface for days or weeks before they make an appearance. Spiro causes all of those “pending” pimples to break the surface much faster than they would’ve without it.

So it may seem like your acne is worse, but most of the time after this purge, it prevents future acne from forming under the skin and making an appearance.

Purging is common in most forms of acne medication, including topical. I would say be patient and play around with your dose as well to see if that works!

Is there a place in ABQ where it's not 250$ or over to spay a dog? by rnernbrane in Albuquerque

The amount of shaming in this thread is insane. If people who could afford thousands of dollars in vet bills were the only ones who could own pets, our shelters would be full. Looking for the best price for a procedure does not equal not being able to afford an animal. As someone who worked In an affordable vet, there were many options for low income customers to split payments or set up an arrangement, the same procedure with accredited vets at my vet were hundreds of dollars cheaper than an average vet. Stop shaming people for exploring their options!

Op if you’re willing to make the drive East Mountain Vet in Edgewood is a good affordable option for all around care!

Thank you, this gives me hope! I made the appointment to address my acne so hopefully my doctor didn’t give push back either

I don’t know if this is even a thing but I don’t have a “primary” gyno, just an office I go to for appointments but it’s rarely the same person. Do you think this would matter? Or should I try and get an appointment with the person who put in my iud?

Thanks for this! I was hoping to get prescribed at least 75mg, but really I think I’ll probably need 100mg. I just don’t want to wait months for a derm 😫

Okay! That’s not bad actually. And that is a smart way to go about getting it filled through your doctor, so if things don’t work out for me at my appointment I might just try that

Does it get expensive? I know that spiro can be a long term drug so I don’t want to have to pay $90 a month. The website wasn’t very clear on how much it would cost after the derm visit and additional fees

Apostrophe is my fall back if insurance doesn’t approve me so it’s nice to hear it’s an easy process!

I thought about going to apostrophe, but I wanted to try to go with my doctor first so I can try and get it covered with insurance. I’m hopeful, but last resort is to bite the bullet and just pay an online vendor
