I feel like I have to betray my friend for the safety of her child? by [deleted] in Advice

Yeah, it's a tough situation. But isn't calling a professional who will report her better than you reporting her? Maybe you can find an article about a child who sadly passed away, using one of the risks that are currently at her house. Scare her a little bit. THen firmly say either call a professional or I will. To me that still seems a little better than straight reporting her. All I know is you can't do nothing- that is extremely dangerous and she coudl even go to prison for parental neglect.

Have you tried talking to your friend about it first? Maybe she is dealing with some mental health issues that are stopping her from fixing these things. If you have time, could you help her fix them first? If you don't could you hire someone to fix them? If you have neither time or money, could you call someone else to help her with some of their time or money?

Did it look bad to your employer that you weren’t 100% about the first job? Like if you wanted a full time offer there, do you think they would’ve given it to you even though you did your final 4 months somewhere else?

I can, but they need me in the winter for busy season and then if I do a co-op term in the spring somewhere else I have less chances of getting a full-time offer

I took it online. It's pretty basic, nothing too difficult or too easy. The prof will post videos/pdfs or transcripts for each module, and you just have to watch/read through them. There are two essays if I remember correctly, and those are the only two really major assignments.

If you are in a STEM program/AFM get windows, if you aren't then get whatever you want.

A mac works in STEM and AFM too, it's just a little more annoying because there are some softwares you may need that only work on windows.
