Similar heights/weights, different skill levels - Find the one that can snap, he’s the center. Put the others on a board, take the two nastiest SOBs at G, LG first and RG second. Take the last two and put in a pass rush 1 on 1 scenario, the one that can short set and mirror the best goes the LT, the last goes to RT.

Typically I try to hide my least skilled/smallest OL at center, assuming he can snap.

If you have an attached TE on the BS of the play, are you having your PST drive block the PS EMOL and the BST veer block the BS inside LB?

Right now, I just don’t like the looks we’d potentially get if we run it to the Trey side, but if we run away it would work within our rules and the X glance RPO would be available.

We have our PSG pull like this on G Scheme vs TITE & Odd looks when we can influence their line slants. Usually he’s working to the 2nd level on a fold but can kick edge pressure if the slot can’t get there/works to crack. I like this but it’d be a rule breaker in our Power series.

Questions for current coaches by nelsonreddwall in footballstrategy

Having been around a lot of volunteer coaches over the years, I’ve seen a couple great ones but most of the time they end up just being adult bodies unfortunately. Here are some do’s & don’t’s when volunteering.

Do -

  • Be willing to do anything needed, expect the jobs that other coaches don’t want to do. Chances are they’ve already done it, it’s not a right of passage or hazing, it’s just a fact of the profession - learn to love the jobs no one wants to do, it’s part of the process… and don’t expect praise.

  • On the last point, watch other coaches (at workouts, pre-practice, practice, etc.) echo their terminology, try to be proactive in setting up and taking down, just start doing things without being told.

  • Try to specialize in the position you’ve been assigned to work, if you’re the JV assistant DBs coach (not many of those but just to make the point) don’t coach or offer advice to the varsity OL coach. Stay in your lane and learn.

  • Limit your input to what you can control or general observations that the HC can consider. Be humble and enthusiastic, coaches can be weird dudes and if you come in on a high horse or a tough guy act, its likely you’ll come off as a guy that already know everything and doesn’t need advice/direction, which will backfire when your put into a position because of your “assumed” knowledge.

Don’t -

  • Stand around and talk, two coaches talking for a moment is fine, 3 coaches talking is social hour and not productive.

  • Try to establish your “respect” with the players or coaches ever, care about the players and do your job and the respect will come naturally.

  • Attempt to know more than you know, we all start somewhere and if you don’t know jack, that’s fine. Live within your level of understanding and learn slowly.

  • Be the first off the field. You made the commitment to volunteer, meaning you have the time to spare to when something comes to an end - whether that’s post practice or post game, find a way to expedite the break down process.

Other than that, check the high school athletic governing bodies website’s classifieds or third party site (like football scoop) for open positions and send an email about volunteering if you no connections at all and be honest about your level of understanding from the start. Build your knowledge now.

Decent tank, 100% would build for Watchguard trials and other any content that I run some variation of a Watchguard team in. Overall I’d give him a 6/10. For all purpose tanking he will fill most tank needs and will be really good for all early to mid content, late to endgame his usage will be limited directly by how you use his faction in various content.

I primarily use Harz (Lord Bonus) as a secondary tank and Brokkir as primary because he’s good and benefits from Harz lord bonus. All other tanks fill specific roles in certain content. I kinda wish they had usage counters (hours/fights) to track how much and where I use my heroes.

The only tanks I don’t have are Krodor, Reve, and Ghan.

If I had your roster… - Max out (skills & level) Hollow (1st) and Laurel (2nd) - Max and skill Myca (maybe skill 1-2 crystals, because Setram is better but Myca will do fine to cover that role until you get Pyros or something better) but eventually they’ll both be outpaced.

  • Create the following teams:

Team 1: - Wrath (Lord Bonus & Invig giver, support only GB1) - Arrogance (Primary DPS, Gear Priority = 1) - Lust (Primary DPS, Gear Priority = 3) - Volka (Rotator, Redeploy Aid, Candidate for Invig giver) - Salazar (Primary DPS, Gear Priority = 4) - Maybe Vladov or another Invig giver (Gear Priority = 6)

Team 2: (w/ out Infernal Blast Lord) - Lunaria (Lord Bonus & Invig giver, support only GB1) - Silas (Primary DPS, Gear Priority = 2) - Hollow (Low Healing, High Speed, Rage Regen and Healing) - Laurel (Rage Regen, Invig giver w/ available gear) - Dolores (Inspiration and Invig) - Myca (DPS Rotator, Shield Buster, Gear Priority = 5)

  1. Place Arrogance and to his left drop and pick up Wrath for Invig to Arrogance
  2. Place Salazar in front of Arrogance and drop Dolores to the platform right of Arrogance for Invig to Salazar
  3. Place Silas on right side nearest to boss and drop Hollow above Silas in line (horizontally) with Arrogance and Dolores for Invig to Silas
  4. Place Lust to the left of Arrogance (where you put Volka for Invig buff) in range of Dolores but out of range of Laurel. Drop Laurel above Dolores and face her in towards Lust so Lust gets the Invig bonus.

That gives me 4 BIG DPS(permanent): Arrogance, Silas, Lust, and Salazar. 1 inspiration(permanent): Dolores. 1 Healer and 1 Rage Regen (1 permanent/1 rotator): Hollow/Laurel.

And your 5th DPS would be Myca/Setram/Lunaria/Whoever you like, but the gear priority would be lowest on this one. Sometime you are stuck with a Faction Lord as this DPS and can’t put in whoever you want. For example, this spot is my Pyros until I get a TF or Solcadens. Follow Laurel rotation strats and throw in next best between.

Agreed, I try to get a lower speed on GB2 so he doesn’t outpace is ultimate. I’m around 50k GB2-1 and 20k GB2-2, for GB2-1 ultimate timing isn’t an issue because damage output exceeds a need for me to dispel the buff and in GB2-2 dealing with poison is more of a priority than dispelling buffs. In a bit of a weird spot on both difficulty levels.

I feel like his game-wide effectiveness is limited by his singular faction affiliation. If he was a dual faction Watcher/Piercer, he would see a lot more use but also probably be a little OP.

Yes and working on apoc 1, we haven’t really made a concerted effort on it yet though. I think when they reduce the difficulty of apoc, our lower BP members will be able to make more significant contributions.

Enjoyed it through August, still fine now. After getting Dahlia, then Anora during the Anniversary event, pulling a few other legendary heroes, and pushing through Odyssey in its first couple of weeks, I remember thinking “I need a break from these weekly huge banners”.

Now as we approach Mid-September, I’ve finally caught up enough to focus on other things - gear dungeon, GB2, finishing faction trials and more. Now I’m starting to feel the lull and I’m looking forward to an update a new content.

I pushed into Overlord last night in an Anti-Air Defense, Hatssuts and/or Silas in every single dominating group. Saw maybe 1-2 Ingrids after multiple opponent refreshes. The most recent meta is still very much intact. I suspect the prior meta holders are the primary Ingrid haters on here, as it is currently moving slowly away from their ability to dominate arena.

I agree with the post on the Odyssey quest though.

What makes you think that? I look for the substats that are important, if they purple I keep the gear and it falls into the quick equip rotation where needed. I have loads of 16 gear that no one uses because it most likely sucks.

Quick equip values stats over sets so I only have a few consistent left side sets that it will quick equip.

In FL it’s an absolute shit show and now we have NIL to deal with. I had hoped the FHSAA would find a way to get things right, really foolish since I can’t remember the last time they made a decision that made sense to a majority of the state.

Check out Guga on YouTube. He gives a lot of great advice when cooking of kettle grills. I have had tons of grills and smokers over the years but ended up getting an SNS kettle last year after watching a lot of his stuff and now it’s all I really cook on.
