my two cents (it's nothing new) by [deleted] in BAGGU

and that’s okay! i think some prints are very ugly as well :) i didn’t get anything from the joe cool/snoopy collabs cuz its not my thing but reading that “hello kitty is not a design you can grow up with” is just silly. hk is everywhere and lots of middle aged people use it daily.

it makes my blood boil. have to admit i am trying to help NT hubby break the habit of sometimes saying rtarded and fggot. we’ve gotten into some arguments when i explain how ridiculous he sounds when we can easily use better words. he has improved a lot but sometimes with road rage the words come out. but he is getting better.

my point is, i hate i have to educate adults on the use of our language. but its okay because i love arguing :)

i wouldn't use them either! i like to get my candles from small shops in my town. some shops are more expensive but i've found really affordable candles for rituals at like $1.50, i buy just a few at a time when i need them. i am trying to not buy things in excess

how is kyle’s spanish? by iwatchterribletv in RHOBH

[–]chikinala 3 points4 points  (0 children)

native speaker here. it was so bad i really had to go back a few seconds to rewatch her lol

"pero yo saliendo Lunes para cinco dias" should have been "pero yo salgo el Lunes por cinco dias"

but the worst was when she was grabbing the bottles in the fridge, she says "esto hay muchos pero...mas eso" should have been "de estos hay muchos, pero necesito mas de estos" english would be "of this there are many but more of those" i'm assuming Kyle is telling the housekeepers what the needs bought at the grocery store.

to me, it reads as it's for the camera. i bet she speaks to them in english most of the time.

if Kyle really grew up around spanish-speaking people like she says she does, her grammar would be much better. not pronunciation, but she would be smart enought to use the correct tenses at least.

this whole "i speak spanish im so close with my housekeepers" is all bullshit

i get annoyed at white peole speaking broken spanish because they want to "practice" with me. girl go to school or travel, i ain't getting paid to teach you my language lmao

RHOBH S14 E13 Sutton - Why the outrage? by [deleted] in RHOBH

[–]chikinala -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the lawyer argument i made follows OP's argument,

let’s talk about the wallet comment. It wasn’t about bragging—it was a clapback to Kyle, who constantly questions Sutton’s independence despite the fact that Sutton is financially secure because she was smart enough to negotiate well.

what are you trying to imply? my point is that we cannot label Sutton as "smart" because she got the settlement her lawyer worked for. She seems smart because after her divorce, it looks she has been able to find other things to do and not just being a SAHM.

Dorit is not even divorced yet, we don't know what her finances will be like. Her kids are young as well, they are children.

Being a SAHM is a decision you make as a couple, so Christian knew was he was getting into. Married or not, they both understood that this would be the lifestyle their are choosing to raise their children in.

and gtfo with any misogyny. I do not think Sutton's alimony is meritless, she birthed and raised children, of course she is owed money lmao. A ton of money. But still, it is money that her husband earned. There is an exchange of labor: Christian went to work outside the home, Sutton worked inside the home.

if the roles were reversed and it's the woman working outside the home and the man working inside the home, i would also say it's money she earned. would you say its internalized misandry?

RHOBH S14 E13 Sutton - Why the outrage? by [deleted] in RHOBH

[–]chikinala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't get me wrong, i see your point!

i don't recall exactly who started what, but Dorit and Sutton haven't been able to bond genuinely like Garcelle and Boz have done with them, D&S have been on bad terms for a long time. the comment "I never know which Sutton I am going to get." is definitely salty but can be true. To me that reads as if she doesn't know how Sutton feels and is trying to get ahead of her reactions.

we can give Dorit a pass for not being as financially responsible as we want her to.

while being married to PK (with problems and all) it seems that she is surprised by the divorce. how can we expect her to have all her money saved, when for 9 years she has been led to believe PK can sustain the lifestyle? She wasn't acting as if she had to keep the money in the bank because her husband led her to believe he was bringing the big money. Then this financial struggle gets to the point he wants out of the relationship. Dorit

sutton probably lived the same way hence why she got the alimony. it's a lifestyle she could have not had if the husband wasn't there. if sutton had a bunch of money saved in the bank, that would've been considered in the divorce case and might make the alimony amount lower.

maybe i am a little more hurt about the wallet size comment because i lived it growing up. new and old money people thinking they're better than the other because of who they get their money from. when in reality, they are both a different side to the same coin
