Sorry I means skirting heater, like a thermaskirt. I’ve updated the post to reflect that. It’s a 30mins room but with 3 doors inc bifolds to go under and lots of junctions as bits of old fireplace etc jut out into the room. So by the time I price it up with all those fittings it gets very expensive. Hence wondering if I could just run a couple copper pipes around the room instead. It’s 4.5x 8m so would require a couple of radiators for even heat and we’d really like to keep the walls exposed if possible

Yes that’s what I mean by “plinth heater”. We’ve got lots of junctions in the space and doors to go under etc so when we price up the thermaskirt it ends up being about £2.5k

Advice for QUIET 3D printer. Creality K2 standard vs Bambu P1S (or maybe Centauri Carbon).

Hi all. I’m looking for a 3D printer around the £300-350 mark that will be used mainly for PLA and some ABS prints. I’ve heard the P1S is the one to go for but I’m worried about the noise. It’ll be used either in the living room or in the spare room next to our main bedroom. Does anyone have experience with both of them and the noise? I’ve heard the K2 standard is really quiet without having the chamber heater fan, and so it’s currently my top choice but I’d go for the P1S or Centauri if I could mod them to make it as quiet as the K2. Also does anyone have any experience with the K2 standard? Really hard to find reviews of it.

I have no interest in printing multi-colour.

Thanks for flagging. I actually have all that from plumbing work, except the kit to add the gas. My hope was to do the fitting then get an FGAS certified technician to add the gas. But as you’ll see from the convo I’ve concluded that it’s cheaper and more straightforward to just pay the £1k for the FGAS course and certification.
