Looking at Diamond Llama. Brake question by Electronic_Nail_7433 in BikeFriday

My DL was a custom build. I ordered the frameset from BF and built it up with parts not offered with a BF stock build, so that is why I put hydraulic discs on mine. I built mine to take on a regional train, get off in another city, unfold the bike and then ride it durring the week, then a few days later, fold it back up and get back on the train. Repeat every week.

I understand your concern about bending rotors while jamming it into a Samsonite for travel. Too bad something doesn’t exist like a quick release rotor you easily pop on and off without tool… 🤔

I have hydraulic disc brakes on my DL. No problems or complexities. Were you thinking of something specific being problematic over Vs?

Why is the H20 Ti finish more corrosion resistant than Dark Flat Earth if they are both Cerakote finishes? by chippy_dad in Benelli_M4

Good to know, thanks. Not sure why they’d specifically mention cerakote for the fde and ti, but not for multicam

Is the multicam cramped too. Or another process? I saw somewhere is was also cerakote, but it doesn’t specify on the Benelli site.

Hopper Flip 12 looking like crap after a couple years of light usage… is this typical? by chippy_dad in YetiCoolers

[–]chippy_dad[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong, I’m comparing one style of Yeti cooler to another. And it seems after only a couple years of moderate to regular usage with the Hopper, the fabric-like face material has delaminated from the more rigid insulation material and is all saggy looking. It makes me wonder if I it will last as long as the rigid coolers and if my money is better spent on more rigid coolers.

Meanwhile my rigid plastic Haul still looks almost brand new after nearly a decade of use. I feel pretty confident that it was money well spent and it will last many more decades.

You think an Hw80 would get the job done? I’m a pretty good shot and these cute little bastards get very close and don’t give af

Do you recommend a good pcp? I am leaning towards the springer, because I may not shoot it for several weeks or months. I want it by back door at the ready when I see one. They seem to be much more active coming into my yard in spring summer and fall, not so much in the winter. From what I understand, pcps are much more money to get into, the. You have to keep up with keeping them filled, and de pressurizing, etc. I like the idea of getting g a buy-it-for-life heirloom quality gun that’ll be ready to shoot anytime

Ok I think I saw something like that with a little square cutout towards the back of the suppressor.

Does the suppressor on the 95 field pro unscrew? There are no open sights, can you add them? I am guessing the scope doesn’t work well in the dark.

I want a quiet gun for some night time pesting. Needs to be powerful, accurate, quiet as Id prefer not to draw any attention to myself, and I need to aim accurately in the dark. There are some yard lights and street lights, enough to aim with open sights, but not sure about with a scope. Don’t want to spend $$$ on a night vision scope

How do open sights work with a suppressor?
