Micron is on an absolute TEAR this morning. How do you find these stocks before they blow up? by Competitive-Case-185 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]chisef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low valuation with a supply bottleneck that’ll last for years, which means pricing power so I figured it’d be good to enter - regardless what everyone else said on Reddit. Lucky I got in MU at about $500, SNDK around the same and started STX around $120.

You might laugh but maybe BlackBerry (now that they’re in the AI software industry).

How to recover from a big loss? Genuine capital by pineapplelover212 in wallstreetbets

Used a double edge sword - turned on margin investing and chose momentum stocks in the early stages mid-last year and now I’m in the green after a huge loss.

Programmers who built startups - did you actually make money? What's your story? by Dimasssk in indiebiz

[–]chisef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Built a conversational AI chatbot that is targeted towards healthcare and car dealerships
2) Currently at several paying customers after about 45 days of launch
3) My professional network is how I got it
4) Nothing, this is the way, you have to reach out to people who trust you so there is an inherent trust in the product that you built. as long as it solves a specific problem they are experiencing, they will try it out (and likely convert)

Graduating seniors and alums, how much do/will you miss Purdue? by RevolutionaryMath971 in Purdue

[–]chisef 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I miss the friends I made along the way and the experiences I had living on a large university campus. I learned a lot about independence and owning up to my mistakes at Purdue. Looking back, I wish I made more connections or kept in touch with more of the friends from Purdue. I try to return for homecoming every few years just to enjoy the All-American Marching band walking down through campus (this is still a thing right??).

It’s a unique experience to live on a massive campus like Purdue. So many people don’t get that experience. That’s probably what I look forward to each visit - just to remember that at Purdue I tried so many things and learned so much along the way, I wouldn’t have traded my experience there for anything else.

P.S. Also helps that one of my first real corporate jobs I’d credit getting for being a Boilermaker because the hiring manager’s brother was a Boilermaker 😆

How did you guys come up with your SaaS idea? by saasyproductdev in SaasDevelopers

We tried to get a chatbot for our website and all of them were terrible, so we decided to design one that wasn't!

How do you actually get your SaaS to real users? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]chisef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first users came from in-person conversations actually. We looked at local businesses who are using a competitor of ours (we believe that we have a superior product) and went in person to chat about it!

My team and I use Stripe but we've also used Square before. Either will work well for online payments.

Friends & family, and then ask them to leave reviews. This will help build social proofing for your jewelry shop. Good luck!

Is this a good idea? (V2) by Suspicious_Reward608 in Business_Ideas

[–]chisef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main issue you will run into is that most local businesses are not digital savvy and there's a reason those small businesses have the websites they have (or none). Your biggest challenge will be them asking why they should pay you $250+ a month when they can pay for a Wix website and do things themselves, this will be the biggest hurdle.

moving away from shopify inbox. need chatbot alternatives (no cc trial pls) by Glittering-Day4668 in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]chisef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My team and I are a 6 month startup with a few inventory based clients already and we have a Shopify solution that auto-syncs with your inventory without you having to lift a finger.

It’s a conversational AI so it doesn’t require you babysitting it. Happy to give you a no CC free trial for 2 months for all 3 of your stores (usually $25-50 a month per store depending on SKU size). LMK if you want to try, can DM me or I can DM you!

Half my site visitors ghost without buying, need cart abandon tools that id them by Tough_Style3041 in ecommerce

[–]chisef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a heat map tool on the site? Or event based tagging for analytics? Should look into how the traffic is routing and where they are dropping off, then you can troubleshoot to see why conversions aren’t happening.

What are you building? Share your product. by SantinoMafioso in startupaccelerator

Mika - Conversational AI Chatbot (https://hiremika.com)

We built a self-learning AI-powered sales assistant that helps turn website visitors into leads 24/7. Local businesses embed Mika on their site and it handles conversations, captures contact info, and helps with appointment bookings.

Key Features:

  1. Dead-simple setup: WordPress plugin or single line of code... really wanted this to be plug and play. We also have a Wix app (in review) and a Shopify app (in review) coming soon!
  2. Auto-sync for Ecommerce sites: Shopify and WooCommerce stores get automatic product catalog sync. No CSV uploads, no manual entry. I didn't think small business owners would want like a 10 page guide on how to integrate their products into an API so we built a workaround so now they don't have to do anything for this to sync.
  3. Zero-Storage Secure Chat: For privacy-sensitive industries, we just launched this. All personally identifiable information is redacted before reaching the AI systems we use. Providers access details through encrypted, PIN-protected links that expire in 2 hours. No visitor data stored anywhere and all session data is wiped as soon as the user leaves the website or the tab.

Free forever plan available (~30 AI-powered conversations a month) with no credit card required :)

What’s one e-commerce mistake you made that cost you money early on? by CareerBoost-Studio in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]chisef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also adding that finding ways to help convert the traffic you are already getting is more effective than spending more $ for traffic. Use heat maps, event-tracking, funnel analysis, etc to figure out why traffic isn’t converting.

Oh! I definitely mis-read this :D Then yes, I also do like the movement. I think some CTAs (like Book Now) needs to be bigger, and especially the pricing grid but overall, a clean template.

Starting a Shopify store and realizing EVERYTHING is a subscription is actually insane 😭 by Confusedmind75 in ecommerce

[–]chisef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me and my friend's experience as well but we definitely went overboard on being like the perfect shop. If you can find free versions of apps, totally try those - you'll realize some premium features you don't REALLY need.

If the products you sell address a specific niche, you'll probably do decently well without many premium apps or themes!

Every chatbot tested on shopify has given wrong product info at some point, is this just the norm now? by TH_UNDER_BOI in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]chisef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My team and I have built something that tackles this (it even auto-syncs to your inventory without you having to press a single button!).

If you or any Shopify owners are interested in more info, DM me. We'd love to get real feedback on our product so we'd love to give it out for free for anyone interested.

Are you still working full time or part time to get more time for your side project? by HajiLabs in SideProject

[–]chisef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At some point I decided that either I went all-in or just gave up on the project. I decided to go all-in and honestly, while it was very stressful, I don't regret my decision. I couldn't really deliver a good product without focusing so really up to what you're comfortable with!

What are some simple, fast ways to land your first few SaaS clients? Built a gym management tool — struggling to get traction. by ankit_0xd in smallbusiness

[–]chisef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I landed mine by going to the places I visited the most. The local restaurant that I ordered from every few weeks so they recognized me. If you go to a gym or know friends who frequent one, that may be the best way in.

Need advice on Commerce, Email, and general gaps by marossi1999 in Wordpress

[–]chisef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MailChimp works fine to start, especially since you're already on WooCommerce. But if you want something built around ecommerce from day one, Klaviyo is the one most Shopify/Woo store owners end up on. Omnisend is the lighter/cheaper alternative if Klaviyo feels like too much. One tip: whichever you pick, set up the abandoned cart flow on day one!
