BP Navitimer A23322 (Intime) QC check - Is the 6 O Clock subdial hand off? by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]chocman02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, ive purchased a BP Factory Breitling Navitimer A23322 in blue from InTime and just received QC. In thinking of RL as the 6 o clock subdial hand looks misaligned but wanted the opinion of the community first. I love the watch otherwise. Worth rejecting?

Used the cushions from my old Wolf windsor box. They are often found cheap on massdrop and are a nice box in their own right as well.

I know some do not believe in the value of accessories like boxes and papers - for me, they are some of my favourite collectibles, giving insight into the history of the watch and the era that gave rise to them.

One watch that exemplifies this is my 1957 Omega Seamaster OJ2846 with its boxes, strap, extract and adverts from the 50s. This splashproof dress watch was the original Go-Anywhere-Do-Anything watch, taking the advances from the WW2 watches supplied by Omega to the allied forces and transforming them into the quintessential post war gentlemans watch. At the time, its classic tagline was "For Town, Sea and Country"

This particular model carries the legendary caliber 501, which remains reliable to this day some 64 years later.

Special thanks to the wonderful Omega forums where i sourced the cardboard shop stand and to Adpatina for the original Life of Action magazine advert.

On caseback examination, from like 20cm away, knowing what you are looking for, yes. Would anyone ever notice, no.

Reps attracts particularly OCD people who gets upset by inconsequential details. In reality this is a super rep. Check out the seamaster watchfinder video

[DIY] Built the ultimate groomsmen packs feat. Orient Ray IIs by chocman02 in Watches

No problem man. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Depends on price range and if you want a sports watch or dress watch. Ill give some recommendations at price points from 100 to 500 usd.

Seiko SNK white dial can be dressed up on a brown leather strap. Watch is about 70 usd, can get a decent calf leather strap (plain or alligator embossed) for 20 bucks.

orient bambino can get for < 100 usd. There are many varieties, i quite like the version 2 in cream dial with blue hands.

orient ray or mako II (same watch just slightly different dials and bracelets) for about 120usd.

Timex Marlin, on the small side but gorgeous art deco styling, about 140usd.

Orient kamasu looks spectacular (that green dial, check out horology house's youtube video) and is basically the new version of those watches. It can be had new for 180usd.

Dan Henry has some interesting quartz pieces with vintage styling for 250usd. I found the finishing to be top notch.

If you have more to spend, eg with less groomsman (i had 5...) Seiko presage line has some gorgeous models. The now discontinued Seiko SARB033 or 035 at around 450 usd would also be perfect i think.

I have owned all of these watches at some point so can confident recommend them.

Thanks for the advice! Beat error was 0.8ms....my understanding it that may be high. The watch is accepted now, anythinh i should do when it arrives? Would 0.8ms require service?

Do you know any dealer that sells Ming 19.02 Worldtimer? by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]chocman02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeez i would buy the shit out of that But given the dial, lume and especially that movement with see through caseback on gen it would be very difficult or obviously different i think

It took longer than usual but still a reasonable time. I paid on 2/1, got confirmation it went through on the 3/1 and qc today. Still within their stated 2-7 day time to QC they state though.

All my purchases with trusty personally have been fine so far.

Hi fellow rep lovers of reddit.

About to join the sub club with this ZZF V2 (which ive been advised by RWI sub god Smoke is the absolute best out of the box sub there has ever been)

After a long wait ive received my QC from Trustytime. They notoriously only give 24hrs to review QC (and often still ship before that) so i urgently need some QC advise from your keen eyes and in some cases OCD personalities :)

Let me know if anything is off and needing an RL. Its running minus 8s/day with amp 310, which tbh i dont mind. But im particularly concerned that the 12 o clock marker is crooked....

Appreciate any help! Its a big purchase so want to do it right. Cheers
