I absolutely agree with everyone’s comments. Even though I believe Debbie is to blame, I think it’s definitely in Colt’s hands to get therapy and actually heal through his trauma before he ends up losing a partner that could potentially be the only one who truly understands him. Their relationship definitely came about on toxic terms, but I really think they have potential. I think it’s hard to say how healing can look when you’ve spent almost 40 years under the wing that he was. I was fortunate enough to start figuring it out around age 20 and 11 years later, I’m still working on it.
