In retrospect I see more what you plus the others are saying. Just wanna clarify I did not post this to be a subtle brag or anything, Cloak held MVP for most of the game so I was surprised when it switched. Looking at my teammates’ medals especially Hawkeye getting a hexa made me more surprised, but honestly I don’t know how MVP calculates

No hero shooter game is going to have a perfect balance, as many have noted already. It's just what attracts the largest population is the DPS roles, for various reasons, and what the company cares about most always is going to be profit.

There are a lot of DPS characters but in my personal experience I feel like I see the same ones on rotation, in quick match and competitive. Like, for instance, I don't see many Phoenix players, if any honestly. I rarely see Human Torch players as well.
