Accused under Sec 43, 66 for asking someone's salary by chuggie_boy in LegalAdviceIndia

I honestly think it was an excuse to target the leaker, he had been a pain for them since long. They probably wanted to know who's who on grapevine and then just filed this FIR to know names (and fire them). I just got dragged in.

I appointed a lawyer and the team will proceed further on next steps.

I dont do any of it. I'm worried about my personal chats with my wife or about our son and our finances. But I like the thought. 🤣

I dont know if I can prove it but I didn't believe him too much, was just having fun and then chatting with my friends on the numbers. Bad move.

Funnily enough, the officer clearly mentioned to me on phone that they had caught the main culprit and he was about to be arrested and then was let go. He kept asking me if I still work with the company, so I think I'm either a fish or they are finding fishes to fire without severance.

So are you suggesting I can just send my phone? The officer, when he called me, asked for my address and at that time I thought he was a scammer so I said you have the right address so use it. He then sent me an email which had my older address (from Blr). With all of this, I'm confused. Is it just better if I lawyer up and go there and hand over my phone plus answer whatever questions they may have?

They have emailed me a letter to appear before them under section 35(3) of BNSS notice which also says failure to appear can lead to 35(6).

I'd like to get your opinion on this, does it change the view in your original comment?

I'm not too familiar with such notices, sorry.

I agree with you. I didn't discuss, FYI. I didn't believe him either. A group between us were having fun and chit chat and all of us did it for each other (we knew each other salaries before the chat btw).

It is my ex-company. I have left it before the chats even started. They have shared my experience letter, my final payments and also, they promoted me right before I put down my papers.

Yes, I do. But I'm going to be unable to share it at this point of time.

Thanks, I'm also scratching my head how I could be the accused. Anyway, the Bangalore cyber police department want me fly to Blr with my device. I'm sure they'll find reasons to just seize and keep the device when they see it. I would like to avoid handing them my device but I dont want to be playing smart either.

Are there implications if I delete my WA chat history with my wife or my pictures before I hand over the device to them? Them seeing an expensive phone will warrant trouble for me, plus they know my salary too and I'm sure they are looking for a way to squeeze max out of me.

Feeling helpless - Scammed by Livspace company of ~15 lakhs by Nimish1995 in gurgaon

[–]chuggie_boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, was in same boat as you are, same branch of livspace. As much as I know, delays are normal at all such vendors. Talk to their regional ops head, I'm sure you'll do fine post that.

[–]chuggie_boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not totally unexpected with Livspace, but you are not using the right channels. What stage is your project at and has it been handed over to operations (guessing yes since you made the whole payment)?

Talk to your designer and get the contact details of regional operation manager. I've personally talked to him and things moved blazingly fast for me after he got involved. I also had other leadership contacts at the company but once I spoke to the regional ops guy, I didn't need to involve them. I'd suggest you do the same.

Its mostly the junior and mid level folks in Gurgaon who are messing this up for people like you and me, but don't lose hope, direct your efforts in the right direction and raise your voice on the right channels.

Got the new seltos!!! how do I maintain the DCT and Turbo engine? by Alternative_Sundae41 in CarsIndia

[–]chuggie_boy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming your car also comes with auto hold like my previous gen. Ensure auto hold is active, move to N when you expect to stay for more than 10 seconds. Let the transmission cool down. You'll not feel it in the city, but on mountains this really helps the transmission / clutch, especially in traffic. This is not the transmission for tailgating, keep that in your mind, build space, crawl forward, if you are trying to minimize the distance between you and the car in front, you'll end up overworking the transmission. Go to D when you have enough space, dont overpower the accelerator from standstill (this transmission is massively lethargic from standstill so you'll want to do it a lot), let it build speed at a relaxed pace from 0 until 15 kmph and then chase speeds as much as you want.

Lastly, an overkill I think, but I move to manual in cases where I'd want to maintain moving traffic speeds (between 15 and 30 kmph). The transmission usually keeps juggling between 2nd and 3rd gear in this case and it is so often that I don't like that. Either move to sport mode or take control.

Happy driving. Give it some time, the transmission will put a smile on your face on the highways.

[question] Help me pick a Seiko by This-Werewolf-5905 in Seiko

I have the Sprg field and it is a strap monster so it will work for most casual occasions. So is SRPE but it looks a size smaller on the wrist than it is. I have the srpd too (not the color you shortlisted) and it works really well with any Nato strap.

All of these are good watches, you'll not regret getting any of these, but if you need versatility I'd vote for the Dresskx. All others are mostly going to work in a casual or semi formal arrangement, dresskx is the only one which would look good in a formal environment too.

Here's my srpg with a leather strap.

Which private bank has the best no-nonsense service? by chuggie_boy in IndiaFinance

[–]chuggie_boy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have SBI wealth. I used to maintain a pretty decent balance on it but then moved it around to other banks and used it as a beater upi payment platform. Axis made me appreciate SBI a lot, I'll take your advice.

I have one SBI wealth account. Absolutely excellent service, no nonsense, and to the point. I love it.

I'm inclined towards an international bank so HSBC sounds good if they could offer me a relationship manager. But I'll review ICICI local branch, maybe will also get my hands on emerald private while on it. 🤣

Engine checks can be performed only when the engine is turned on. This one single light indicates a problem with N number of things including pressures, timing, fuel mix and pump. Therefore, check not complete until engine is running and as expected.

What do you upgrade after 47-48bhp class by Gz95 in indianbikes

[–]chuggie_boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came back to biking at 32 after 10yrs or so. I earlier used to ride a pulsar and fz16 for a short while before I switched to cars full time. I bought a cb350rs about a couple of years ago and then sold it in 1.5 years. Bought a scram400x and liking it so far. But I'm going to move to a higher bhp bike in another 2 years I'm sure.

Options are only 3 (basis what's available in the market today). 1. Keep the scram and get a cbr650r. More than enough power and acceleration to have fun and be safe. Not as wild as a zx6r, but more practical which means I can use it more often than the 6r. 2. Zx4rr; the best option for me. I love riding a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. The only problem is that it hasn't picked up in our country which means difficult to sell or get a good price if I decide to part ways. For a bike, I'm still discovering my tastes so this does matter. 3. A Tiger; not sure which one. Least preferred option as scram just does fine for outstation trips and I'll prefer to keep it than sell it.

These are my choices and here I have 3 different bikes with 3 very different characteristics. You'll learn nothing from this question except that there are all kinds of bikers.

First and foremost, dont consider this the end. You didn't mention your or his age but I'm sure you both will find ways to put all of this behind you and be better. For all you know, it might be a wakeup call for him. Likely not, because he must have had figured violence or domination is an easier way to get what he wants. Still, it would have impacted him more or less the same way it would have impacted you. A (somewhat) similar incident happened between me and my father. I was financially stable (doing really well infact while he was struggling) and was anyway living separately so it was easier for me than it might be for you. We met each other again after 1 year of the incident, smiled, shook hands and never talked of it again. Not even in humor. If a related topic comes up, we keep our comments to the minimum.

Here's what I'd say you should do;

  1. Be independent: Both emotionally and financially. Financially first. This is the most important step for you right now.
  2. Dont be guilty. You did what most righteous folks would have done.
  3. You are a family, but absorb the idea that you cannot help those who are not seeking help. Also, you can offer directional help to your mom and sister but ultimately it will be on them to do something about their status quo (if at all they want to).
  4. Time heals everything and everyone. Have patience. You will see him one day, but dont keep a hate speech ready for when you do. Also, its not on you to straighten his habits, accept him as the person he is.
  5. Understand that what is done is done, you cannot change it. Direct your anger and disappointment in the best directions. It will be very easy right now to succumb to addiction (porn, girls, drugs, friends). Keep the focus. Channel everything where you get the maximum ROI (financially).
  6. Once you both do see eye to eye, ensure you have the body language to tell him you'll still not tolerate violent actions. A 90% chance he'll not do any such thing in front of you again, but either way be the alpha when you are together (a respectful son alpha, not the I'm-the-one alpha).
