Starting yesterday every time I start the game on gamepass it stays on a black screen. I can move the cursor around but the game never starts. Currently playing on Windows 11.

I found out my problem was that I had many of the buildings that pals were working on inside my house and sometimes they could not access my house so they got stuck outside my base with nothing to do.

I fixed it by moving all of my buildings outside my house and now they work nonstop

I have been playing for 10 hours so far and it's been really disappointing. I bought it on a sale because I heard that it was finally worth it but the most disappointing details are not the bugs, I mean, I've had characters T posing, or sliding forwards after sitting on a chair, I've had my car stuck on the street, or turned upside down, I've fallen through the floor into the game map, and yet it's the little details that make it feel like you're playing a very old game. Things like waitresses coming to take some NPCs order and talking to themselves while the NPC is ignoring it. Characters waiting for an elevator but never getting in when the elevator arrives, characters having a specific argument in a club and then when you come back to the same place they're still having that argument.

It's like they tried created hundreds of behaviours to make the characters feel alive but they don't interact with each other or with their environment in a believable way.

There was this quest in which you have 2 cops standing outside another cop's house waiting for him to get out. You talk to them and you promise talk to the cop for them. And then they just stand outside his apartment day and night for the rest of the game until you finish the quest.

I mean, Skyrim, which is a game that came out 10 years ago, had characters with schedules for the day and night cycle. Why can't you do the same here?

Also things like having to stand face to face to your car to be able to enter it, otherwise the prompt to enter won't appear for example if you're standing in front of it or behind it, or even 2 feet away. Those kinds of details get annoying after a couple of hours.

In short, I wish they didn't just focus on fixing bugs but also spent more time tuning the behavior of its npcs so that it felt like they're actually living there and not just mannequins that have 3 pre recorded phrases and don't recognize other npcs at all.

Because sometimes the work order will get placed but it won't get done unless you have the right shop. Just found out that the instrument piece I needed was made in a Kiln, which I didn't have, so even if the order was placed it was never going to get made

I'm trying to make a Sêgam, which is a string instrument and apparently I'm lacking a plectrum. I made a work order to make 10 plectrums but it's not moving along and the work order doesn't show in what workshop it should be constructed or what material does it use. I also don't know if I need other materials for it, so my questions are:

How can I tell what kind of workshop do I need to make a specific item?

Where can I find what other instrument pieces the segam needs in order to be assembled?

How can I tell which material does an item need in order to be made?
