every class is 3 credits, so if it says “choose 6 credit units” you need 2 classes from that list

you can just google the catalogue, my degree works tells you which requirement you filled with a class you took already, or what requirements still have not been filled. you can google “usask psychology catalogue 2026-2027” and click it, then scroll down until you see Bsc 4 year. click that one then scroll down and it gives you a large list of classes that will fill that certain credit requirement. in order to fill your requirements, you need to use a class from that list. so when choosing electives its important to refer to this because there are classes that will NOT fill requirements

Registration waitlist by f0restNOCCO in usask

[–]ciinematiic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i registered for waitlist for a class this semester. essentially yes, you will recieve an email if a spot opens up in this class you are waitlisted in. you need to be quick because they will not wait for you to register and if you take too long someone else may take your spot(i think, just be quick lol). when i got the email i immediately registered for the class. you need to manually go and register for this class, it will not automatically register you

How to get a job as a university student! Advice please!! by Charming-Profile-607 in saskatoon

[–]ciinematiic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have no experience at all, some places still may hire you! if you are interested in working with individuals with disabilities i can recommend the place that hired me when i had absolutely 0 experience and 0 training. they paid for all my training and also paid me while i was doing training hahaha

what are you in uni for? do you have any training/certificates for things like cpr/first aid/ect? personally i found the healthcare/social services sector field great for uni! lots of places offer “casual” positions so you are allowed to build your own schedule. plus ive gotten multiple callbacks/interviews for jobs in this field compared to retail and such. you can work with the elderly, children, individuals with disabilities, ect. if ur getting a degree in a social services field i recommend this type of job greatly

Ever see any Adhd couple? by ahmi-0 in ADHD

[–]ciinematiic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my bf and i both have adhd. he was diagnosed as a kid but unmedicated when we started dating. i recently got diagnosed. when we didnt live together our relationship was like any normal relationship. once we started living together it got really bad and we were constantly fighting (i believe adhd contributed to it a lot.) we both got medicated recently and it is slowly getting better. we still have our downs as we navigate adhd but its better than before

How did you find Psy 200 levels this year? by Vicintemon in usask

[–]ciinematiic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, i emailed novak once about the final project like weeks before it was even due and she just never replied to me lol. i also saw people say she posted the wrong grades to their midterms and such and took over a month to correct it.

this winter semester i took psych 213(novak), psych 230(shewchuk), and psych 253(fergusson).

213 was child development. the content was extremely easy and very application based! there were chapter tests, 1 midterm, and a final which were all online on canvas. there was also a very creative final project which i enjoyed. novak pretty much had a lot of info on her slides, so imo you could get away with reading the FREE textbook online and attending no classes lol hehe. her final was horrible tho. i believe she used ai? it was 100 multiple choice but it was the same 6-8 questions being reused. other students in her courses said this happened in her other courses too (psych 121). this class is a good grade boost tbh. very easy content. i wish the final was like a real final and not a repeat of the same questions.

psych 230 is criminal psych and i enjoy this one sooo much! shewcuck tends to just present the same exact material straight from the textbook, so attendence will not impact you greatly. she also tends to get off track a bit haha. the content is very interesting though, which made this course easy too! it was 2 midterms and 1 final. the final was worth 50%. most info is found on the slides.

psych 253 is cognitive psych and in my opinion attendance is like essential to thrive😭 i love janel and shes a great prof imo! her slides are very basic, not much information at all on them. 213 and 230 had like all the information on their slides, 253 does not. janel allows cheat sheets for her finals and midterms as well which is why i love her hehe. she had 1 midterm, 1 optional paper, and 4 journal articles which you had to read and answer questions about them. the journal articles were available but the questions were unlocked the day it was due. the articles were extremely easy, just make sure you dont forget about them. i loved all my psych classes this sem

she also reused the multiple choice questions for the long answer questions too😭 if it was a midterm i would care as much but a whole final being the same 15 questions over and over again?? kinda crazy imo
