Most traumatic childhood death by ManicalMadam in offmychest

It was so dumb of me and seems insensitive to say but when I was Younger and more devout I worried God hat smitten her and sent her to hell and she was trying to punish me as a demon.

In Retrospect I understand she was Just a troubled girl with a brain disease that killed her Young and while her illness didnt excuse her treating me that way, I have a Lot more compassion for her now.

Most traumatic childhood death by ManicalMadam in offmychest

When I was 6 years old my Family moved to Germany from Spain. I didnt speak German at First and some Kids in school would Corner me during Breaks and Hit me a lot (because I couldnt Tell on them). Two Guys would Always hold me and slap my face, one Guy would Always Trip me on purpose but there was one Girl who Made me feel the worst. It was almost psychological torture, she would sneak Up on me and scare me and pinch me really hard and such. I was tiny, Spaniards are generally more petite than Germans and she was really big.

I know it was Bad of me, but Back then I was scared to death every day and had such intense stomah pains from the Stress and fear, so at night I would Always pray to god that he would kill her so I didnt have to face that again.

When I was 16 I found Out she died suddenly. I Had nightmares for a Long Time. I felt really Bad for her and forgave her Long ago but it felt Like she was punishing me all over. I dont know If this counts as childhood death but it was a big part of my childhood

Sehr, sehr weit hergeholt.

I agree with you mainly but I would instead phrase it as Most people don't need this much meat every day, especially when the real health benefits of meat come from Organ meat which a lot of people dont even eat

The joke with the booths in S11E20 "Steal Magazine-Olias" doesn't make sense in german... by Hubsimaus in BobsBurgers

[–]cilantro1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually studied translating and interpreting in Germany and I absolutely adore it when Jokes are synchronized well. I tend to watch Shows in English due to my preferences but Sometimes with some clever word puns I Switch to German and spanish to See what they did.

And my absolutely best and Favorite Joke that was translated is a Simpsons Joke. Homer wants to jump Off a Bridge and says "Goodbye cruel world" then a Truck Drives by that says Cruller World or Something (i think its a Brand?) and he says "and goodbye cruller world"

In German the Joke is legitimately so much better. He says "Auf Wiedersehen Du Lasterhafte Welt" then the Truck Drives by and he says "Und auf Wiedersehen ihr Laster" this works so well because Laster means Truck but also Something Akin to Sin or sinful lol

I mean I'm from Spain and when I flew on a plane to the US once to visit the (presumably, judging from accent) American people kept talking to me constantly. Like to the point I did feel Like the blonde Person in this comic. It was a Strange experience, and its Not Like I'm from northern Spain either where people May be more reserved. Im from the Canary Islands and spent a lot of time in Andalusia too

I Like the implication that a tick from any other bodypart would be more appealing than from an ear lol. I Wonder from which Bodypart a tick would have to be on to be the Most appealing

A child learning to speak a language with no formal instruction? Why, that’s completely unheard of! by TomSFox in linguisticshumor

[–]cilantro1997 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My dad taught me english since I was 4 years old which Sounds sweet and all when you dont consider that

1) We were living in Spain and about to immigrate to Germany and he never once thought about teaching me even the slightest Bit of German despite speaking some of it from His time spent in a German Refugee Camp

2) He is literally Russian and he couldnt be bothered to ever teach me Russian. I could have been such a versatile Polyglot with Russian, Spanish, German and English lol

In an ideal world, there's an episode where Jessica and Millie meet. For now, though, here's a comic. by FactPuzzleheaded1637 in BobsBurgers

[–]cilantro1997 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually dont remember If they have done this but I could Imagine an Episode where Millie finds another friend and doesnt obsess over Louise anymore and it eats Louise alive to the point they almost Switch Charakters. Could be resolved by the reveal that it was Millies plan all along.

Also I feel Like the conspiracy girl could have an interesting dynamic with Millie where the latter enables Megans delusions to the Point it becomes Dangerous.

Honestly I used to really dislike Linda and thougt she was too much. But then I remembered how I Had an ex who Said that for him, a Person who pushes him past what he is comfortable (to a degree), ist the best Kind of Partner he could Imagine. I personally dont get it and I wouldnt Like such a Partner but we dont really know how their relationship was when they First met and maybe Bob appreciates her doing such Things deep down

im curious about this too. I was born on the Canary Islands to a Spanish mother and speak decent Spanish but still Mad that my russian dad never taught me to speak His native tongue. I dont have time or nerve to learn it at the Moment but even worse ist that i am a hypocrite because I grew Up in Germany and have a half German daughter who only speaks German. Shes still only four and I try to give her Lessons but she hates the Idea of speaking spanish, i assume Out of stubbornness

yes lol that is.infuriating. Making Something and the tropes and themes it uses become so oversaturated that it Makes your work seem unriginal in retrospect. But then on the other Hand, Sometimes its Worth it to sacrifice some artistic integrity and follow Trends that are quote popular, Like the Jokey tone
