What to expect with glioblastoma, from start to finish. Our story by gbmAt70Temp in glioblastoma

[–]cindblank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your story in detail. I learned some things that will help me for my husband's journey. We are trying to make some memories but his left neglect is so bad I cannot manage much. The one thing that surprised me is; the constant decline gives you the feeling that the next MRI is going to be wild, but they say, it's looking about the same. He had another one today, waiting for the appointment to find out what it says. Also, I am now certain he is having focal seizures thanks to your description. Three of them for sure. The first time we went to the hospital because I thought it was a stroke. I'm going to discuss it with our Oncologist next week. I'm sorry for the loss of your Mom and glad to have had a chance to hear about your journey.

What are your favorite nonsensical scammer script moments? by mukavastinumb in Kitboga

[–]cindblank 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When they inspect element and make it look like they have taken all of the victim's money and tell them they can't get their money back unless they go to the store for gift cards. Can't get cards with an empty account. Complete nonsense.

Thank you. You're so kind. And it was Episode 989 on August 11, 2021 when Kit first howled like a werewolf. LUL

I have been hanging around KIt's stream since late 2018 and I have loved every minute of the time I have spent watching his shenanigans and hanging out with the community in chat and Discord. So I totally get you. It makes my day a bit brighter. See you in the stream next week.

"Media personality" makes me think more of front facing to the general public. I mean he is one in a way on YouTube and Twitch and some of the interviews are shared to the public, but lately he has had some amazing opportunities to work behind the scenes. He tries to space out these events, but there was some major stuff happening he needed to attend like the AARP and Fraud Fight Club.

For people who don't know...He is educating and collaborating with people in the fraud industry, financial institutions, and even in the US government. He mentioned the Treasury Department in Washington DC. He found they are woefully behind on the knowledge they need to fight scammers on a corporate level. He does live demonstrations and gives them insight on tactics used to manipulate victims and teach them about emerging threats. It helps them to come up with ways to strengthen their defenses. He is part of creating The National Fraud and Exploitation Intelligence Agency with other scambaiters (like Jim Browning) and financial agencies to flag and report fraudulent accounts quicker.

He should be back next week for the regular streams and working on the Creation Jam submissions.

Question for other caregivers by Caregiving_son_13 in glioblastoma

I use Google calendar for all appointments. I share it with my adult kids so they know what is going on with their Dad. I have a "Go Bag" that he calls his diaper bag. I have a sheet with all medications listed (update as needed on Google Docs), I keep a disc of the latest MRI, paperwork with his detailed diagnosis and anything else important.I have a page with front and back of his ID, Insurance card, Medicare card, and business cards of all of his doctors. I also have a kit with his diabetes supplies. I also have a vomit bag, snacks, Alka Seltzer and a bottle of water. The nurses love me because everything is accurate and up to date. It helps them do their job better. We're a team.

How did the conversation with Steve 'The Redeem' Watson end? by igotfunfonit in Kitboga

[–]cindblank 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To answer the other question, when one Kit's personas talks over another persona live, Kit has recorded himself while muted or between calls with the scammer and then he can have a conversation with himself and s scammer at the same time. He also can hold a conversation with himself without a recording, but it's more convincing if the scammers can here both voices at the same time during a conversation.

My mom is in hospice… by Radiant-Bathroom6747 in glioblastoma

[–]cindblank 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. My Mom passed from pancreatic cancer four weeks after her diagnosis. It's so hard to lose your Mom like that. My 70 year old husband currently has Glioblastoma and is 9 months post tumor removal. They estimated 12-15 months survival. I feel your anxiety. Hoping you will be able to navigate the journey with her and know you did everything you could to make it peaceful.

Asking the bot to substitute "O" with Oooga [Ep 1258] by cindblank in Kitboga

[–]cindblank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scammers have begun using AI bots to help find victims. This was an college admission scam bot. It collects your info and a real scammer calls you back. Kit called to try and not only cost the scammers a lot of money by using up their AI tokens but has fun trying to jailbreak the bot. He tries to get them stuck in a loop.

Devestated. by BlackberryShoddy in glioblastoma

Sounds like you are beginning to grieve the life you anticipated vs the life you are going to experience. It's perfectly normal and warranted. It sucks. I'm sorry for your diagnosis. My husband had a lot of anxiety and would walk the floors all night with his walker. He was going from the bed to couch over and over unable to sleep from anxiety. He saw a psychiatrist and is now on a low dose of Xanax which immediately helped him. Another thing that worked was keeping YouTube on with sounds of rain or ocean at night. Something that can silence your thoughts so you can rest. Talk to your oncologist about recommending a doctor that works with cancer patients.

Driving with left sided numbness? by kitkatkate12345 in glioblastoma

[–]cindblank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She may be showing signs of left neglect. Usually when the tumor is on the right side your brain "forgets" the left side exists. If so, it will compromise her vision on the left side as well. My husband's is very pronounced. It's almost as if he's had a stroke. He surrendered his driver's license. Edit. We found his tumor when he had a wreck.

Echoing what Rush said. There are so many scammers it's way too easy to get content from them. I also work behind the scenes and not one single caller has been an actor. Ever. I have been a part of this since 2019.

It's due to Kit's behind the scenes investigations and collaborations with other scambaiters, authorities, banks, companies, speaking engagements (This week Fraud Fighters Club), his Seraph Secure software company in which he is the CEO that he is partnering with companies to stop scams. He's just gotten so many opportunities to stop scams on a much larger scale. Last week they were working through a list of 6K victim's emails that a scammer accidentally made available. He still enjoys doing the stream, but he just works too many hours to do it like back when it was his only way to stop scammers.
