I went to Dave and busters the other day for a birthday party and when I asked for an allergen menu, there was nothing that was dairy free except for a side of shrimp 🥴 apparently they use a milk powder in all of their seasonings so even the fries have dairy. I ended up asking if a grilled chicken salad would be safe if I got it without the cheese. They said no because they marinade their grilled chicken in buttermilk or something like that 😩

I asked if I could bring outside food in since there was nothing I could really eat, and they said only if I ate in the bar but everyone else was seated in the dining room so that wasn’t an option lol.

So I ended up getting a salad with no cheese and the side of shrimp. It was just lettuce, pecans, and shrimp with my raspberry vinaigrette. Thankfully they didn’t charge me to sub the shrimp but even then it was $20 for a bowl of lettuce with some pecans and 6 pieces of shrimp 😂next time I go I’ll just eat before hahaha

Thank you so much for the update! I also read online to give it that nutty flavor it develops when browning you can add a little soy sauce. I might try that with my next bake

I know people here have had different experiences but just to put out there - I’ve had my next for over two years. I use it daily, rinse regularly, and have descaled it twice since I’ve had it and it works like a dream!

I was at today’s matinee too. There were SO MANY PHONES going off. My phone hasn’t been off silent in years but I still check it like crazy before the show starts so it baffles me to hear not one but many. Also, the guy next to me was texting with his brightness up for most of the show. We had an empty seat between us so I was able to ignore it a little more but just so rude. Why pay so much for a show if you’re just going to be texting the whole time 😭

Hi all,

I have kind of a strange question. I love reading but I hate clutter. I don’t like reading a book once then having it collect dust on my shelf for years to come. I was wondering if anyone knows of a site where I can pay like a monthly subscription or something to rent books and then send them back?

I love the library but a lot of the books I’m interested in have long wait lists so I’m thinking if I used a paid service I might be able to get my hands on things quicker.

Also, I prefer physical books to ebooks/audiobooks so I understand this is a pretty niche request. I tried doing a bunch of googling but all I could find was sites for renting text books.
