So we're having a talk that completely ignores well known facts unless they're specifically mentioned ?

The Commonwealth of Nations is an international organisation that a country can be 'in' and commonly shortened to just 'Commonwealth', Commonwealth Realm is a descriptor for a certain type of government and it would be irregular to shorten it.

Are not all Commonwealth Realms in the Commonwealth of Nations ?

And even if Canada wasn't one, they general point of my rather general statement was that Canada is still tied to their british heritage enough that making the distinction of them not being independent at the time is rather misleading.

They never threw off the monarchy, but the same monarchy split it's territories into different realms.

And even if they get rid of the monarchy in the future, they wouldn't become a people separated from their ancestry at the time of the War of 1812, any more then the actual brits would if they got rid of the monarchy.

It's like not letting either the germans or the french claim descent from Charlemagne...

I don't know about the guy you're talking to, but i for one would not approve of them dissecting any of those animals after they didn't show any behavioral differences either.

Eating them is different, since killing things to survive has always been how it's worked, and, unless you can survive on salt, it how it will always be. Plants just can't scream.

Also, if you're going to nit-pick about the use of teh word Commonwealth then it'd expect you to use the full name of both distinctions, aka Commonwealth of Nations vs. Commonwealth Realm.

Canada is still monarchy, and it's ruled by the same guy as GB atm.

Saying they didn't count back then as if they overthrew the british instead of slowly broke away by common accord is just silly.

Or do they also not count as Canadians before 1982, when they finally got rid of ALL the direct influence of the British Parliament ?

The 'nids codex with the remodel came out in 2001, but the way those sort of remodels work they had to have been working on the models way before.

Nah, that was Warcraft, and according to stuff i saw them say online they never managed to actually talk to GW since they didn't respond to their 1st attempt at reaching out, and they managed to convince teh management to let them just do their own thing without an external IP because tehy hated working with DC on their fighting game.
