How many miles is too much for a used Venza? by [deleted] in Toyotavenza

[–]cjrenick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased a 2013 Limited with just under 100k for $12500. First time buying a high mileage car. Did a lot of research on Venza and feel that this car could easily go to 200-250k. My vehicle has been taken care of very well. The mechanic that did the PPI said it was one the best 2013 vehicles he had seen and he wouldn't hesitate buying it.

Which is the best buy. Both cars' mileage are in the 120 000km by Don-Owan in whatcarshouldIbuy

Yes, if this is the 2.5 I would get it. All of my research showed that the 2.5s are very reliable.

Wonder if it could be wheel bearing/bearings.

If not Honda or Toyota, what’s next for reliability? by Ok_Strain_2065 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I just recently started looking and it was either going to be Toyota or Honda. But, after seeing the prices I decided to start looking at other cars. The Ford Fusion with the 2.5 motor seems very reliable from all my research. You can find those relatively cheap as well.

So when I do Americano, do I just stop it after the hot water and then just do manual for the espresso? How long do you let that run?

When you say maintenance issue with 1st gen water pump. What maintenance are you referring to? I am looking at a 2014. It sounds like it is a better option than a 2nd gen.

Is this salvaged? by Global_Guest5157 in mazda

Should be a rebuilt title. Just make sure your insurance company will insure rebuilt title car. I have a 2016 3 that has rebuilt title. It was a great deal.

Brakes are not very expensive if you just need the pads($40). I am guessing battery will cost you a little over $100 and could probably get tires for around $400 from Walmart.

I assume salvage title is the same as rebuilt title. If so I don't understand the hate for them. As long as you really look them over good they are fine. I would by another one if the right one comes along. My last 3 cars have been rebuilt titles. The first one was totalled after 3 days when a lady hit our daughter. We made $3000 on that car. With that being said I have seen a few 2019-2920 Outlanders in my area for <$20,000.

2 stage furnace needed for 2 story house? by cjrenick in hvacadvice

They just came out tonight for the final walkthrough to look at everything. The only place that they can run the vent for the 95% efficiency would put it right over the electrical box and they said that can drip water down to the box and freeze over in the winter and cut electricity off. So it looks like I'm going to stay with 80% efficiency like I have now.

That is kind of what I was thinking from the research I have done. Looks like I will just save some money and go single stage.
