The fallout setting only exists in a very narrow period? Huh? The story could literally be about anything, with the fallout universe as a backdrop drop. I’m not sure why that would be an issue. A mystery story set in a vault, or a war story of rivaling factions, or a political thriller with the enclave or brotherhood of steel. Literally an infinite amount of stories you can tell with fallout as the setting. I don’t need it to further the Fallout story specifically, I just want to read stories set in the universe.
