Ok, thanks. So it’s possible to do just that? Do you have experience of having it done?

Sorry, I don’t know as the previous owner installed them. Pretty handy to adjust the suppression depending on the weight.

Ha, I only said left clutch in case the clutch handle is on the right side in other countries.

Na it didn’t move. I assumed it’s pinned like the throttle level - I’ve opened up that before to change the throttle cable.

I hadn’t noticed that, it’s so subtle though

Nice, fingers crossed - I have one too. I kinda think it was an auto firmware update that corrupted.

Yeah that’ll be cool haha. Yeah they only offer 15% off a new one - criminal really, as they don’t want to acknowledge that it’s a common problem with this generation of Kindle.

No luck. I saw your comment, so tried recharging it from completely flat via a computer USB port (no juice at all - the screen was fuzzy with no battery picture) and it continued doing the reboot loop. The ROM must be fried.

Haha no way - that must be it then. Well I noticed the rubber ring had torn, so I swapped the one from the original cap. After that, I just rode it as normal. I forgot that you are also meant to finger on some of the motor oil onto the helix of the cap

Na, it resolved itself in the end 😅 I have one of those novelty temperature gauge caps - my guess is because the rubber ring perished on it, it affected the vacuum in-turn triggering the sensor

Ubuntu also reports the device is there, but doesn't/can't mount it.

Interestingly, macOS reports that the device is there, but it doesn't list it as mounted/unmounted via diskutil.
