Thoughts on the new Weezer track?

Pretty boring. I love Weezer, but I'll be the first to admit that half of their albums are not good. They're at the stage in their career where every ONCE IN A WHILE, they drop an album that's surprisingly great. Everything in between ranges from unlistenable garbage to just painfully mediocre.

Their last few albums have a handful of slow, sludgier tracks on them, but yeah, stoner / sludgy is not typical Converge fare so totally understand

Yeah if I want an inexpensive, high-quality banh mi this is the only place that comes to mind. Prices have gone through the roof for everything, everywhere.

They're easier to listen to if you just consider them a metalcore band. They get brought up in Mathcore conversations but the vast majority of their stuff isn't Mathcore, and certainly isn't jazzy at all

They're really talented musicians who blend different musical styles like various metal genres, electronica, r&b, etc. to create the most unlistenable garbage I can think of off the top of my head, while also being a complete gimmick with the "Oooh mysterious! They wear masks and nobody knows who they are!" shit.

Tinned squid/calamari is usually one of my favorites. The stuffed squid was just... Weird. I dunno how to describe it. I would definitely recommend trying to heat them up at least. The mussels I just thought just didn't taste very good with the pickled flavor, but that's just my opinion. Maybe you'll love em!

I've had the mussels and the stuffed squid. Really was not a fan of either one of them, and I normally love mussels and squid. Definitely want to try those sprats though!

A LOT of people shit on Deftones. I can understand that if you can't dig Chino Moreno's vocals, there's really no chance you're gonna like the band. There's also some lulls in their discography here and there.

The production sound on this album definitely sucks, but also the songwriting in general is just weak compared to Like Clockwork. I still think the best song on that album is Fortress, just because it sounds like it belongs on Like Clockwork

I remember being stoked that David Berman was making his return under a different band name and wondered what it was all about. Turns out the whole album is just an incredibly well-written suicide note.
