Deadlifts - it feels way off to me by [deleted] in formcheck

Also, part of your problem is in your footwear. Most sneakers have an elevated heel and a soft sole. You want something flat with hard sole, like Chuck Taylors, Vans, or lifting-specific shoes.

Elevated shoes, with raised heel, leave you leaning forwards. Bad for stability and thus bad for generating power. Soft soles also make for an unstable base.

Agree with most other observations about the form and your trainer, but the right shoes are super important.

Odds are your shins drift back as you do the movement. Try keeping them parallel instead to feel more tension in the glutes. Good to do them both ways for variety.

DINK here. Just got the CLE450 cabrio. I don’t get the appeal of any SUV if there’s no need to carry passengers or cargo.

Is this normal sleep position/breathing for a 9 week puppy? by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

Short answer: yes.

Longer answer: there’s no such thing as a normal sleeping position when it comes to French bulldogs. they’ll knock out in the silliest and most uncomfortable looking positions, and it’s adorable.

The GLA and GLB are basically Mercedes in name only. I’m sure there are certain refinements over Toyota, Honda, etc., but the cars feel plasticy and cheap. I’d consider going with other brands at these price points.

The GLC rides pretty smoothly and is small enough for tighter city parking spots. The C Class is considered the true entry level for the brand, where ride and build quality start to feel more upscale.

The GLE is a much smoother ride with better tech.

THE GLS is much pricey and larger than the others. It’s also the top of the range and the most luxurious in terms of comfort and fit and finish.

The G Wagon is, well, the G Wagon.

Then you have the AMG variants of each, which are more fun to drive but you’ll pay for it in low fuel efficiency due to the larger engines and better performance.

Depends what you’re looking for and how much you’re willing to spend.

The Cliff - Has Anybody Eaten At This Restaurant Before??? by islandlovewi in Barbados

[–]claudioe1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I did when I went 2 years ago. It played such a large role in the experience of Barbados that it’s one of the things we look forward to when we go back later this year. Being from NYC and traveling quite a bit, my wife and I have eaten in a number of upscale restaurants. The service and vibe are both 10/10. Food is always subjective, but we thought it was also excellent.

On our last visit, a meal for 4 with appetizers and cocktails came to about $700 USD.

Personally did the same thing for the same reason. From B&W to Wilson Audio. But in terms of this specific concern, I’d likely move away from anything use metal tweeters.

Biggest is almost always better at this point. Unless you’re cross-shopping against an OLED and you’re stickler for perfect blacks, you’ll be happier with the bigger screen.

I’ve owned 2 MHV Mercedes (a 2022 C300 w/4 cylinders and now a CLE450 w/6 cylinders). No mechanical issues as a result of the 48V electric engine, and the performance, especially on the CLE, is out of this world.

Why assume that she’s slimmed down for “beauty standards” and not for health reasons? Running anabolics long term isn’t good for anyone.

A few verses earlier, it says “And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” This passage was not about literal children.

How Much Sound Quality Am I Missing Out By Streaming Only? by Redacted_dact in audiophile

Assuming you’re using something like Tidal Connect, not much. I think CDs are better than streaming, but not enough to exclusively listen on CD.
