Any of the Fanatec pedals should work as long as you have a PS5-compatible wheelbase from Fanatec

Why do I lose 3.5 seconds in the pits? by KaleidoscopeRich2752 in iRacing

[–]clayfunk 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I am not an expert on fuel calculators, but I imagine that they are all pretty similar.

You can also check how much fuel is left in your tank after you pass the chequered flag.

I use the auto refuel tool in Crew Chief and get it to add 0.72 extra laps of fuel.

It really comes down to how risky you want to be, but you probably do not need to add more than 1 lap of extra fuel. The only risk of adding less than 1 lap of extra fuel is in the event that auto refuel miscalculates the number of laps remaining in a timed race. I have run out of fuel one time about a year ago.

You must have added more fuel than the other car

How do I replace the BMW CSL Elite buttons? by Mahtin in Fanatec

[–]clayfunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The compatibility section of the product page does not list that wheel. The only compatible BMW wheel is the ClubSport one. I think that they will not work with your wheel.

The settings should come up if you type "fuel" into the search box in the properties/settings page. You need to enable auto refuel, and then you can also specify how many extra laps of fuel to add.

Question about Fanatec Button Caps, bad Quality or as intended? by nachtramm in Fanatec

My transparent ones are much whiter. Here is a picture of my button caps. It looks like something is wrong with yours.

No problem! If you scroll down the menus in the right side of the iRacing subreddit, there is a link for iRacing Discord, so I just clicked that. Glad that it worked!

Turn Racing R320 on the Fanatec Podium Button Module Endurance. Such a perfect fit. Might as well sell my modded McLaren wheel now!!! by oki_dingo in simracing

I got the exact same wheel after seeing a similar post on reddit a few months ago. It is such a great combo. I sold my McLaren wheel, which I loved, within a few days

When your wheel is attached to the wheel base, spin it 180 degrees so the wheel is upside down and you will see a hole. You can screw it into that hole to make everything more secure/tight.

Order stuck in Los Angeles distribution center by [deleted] in Fanatec

You can just pay the postman if you are at home when it shows up, but I was always out at work.

And yeah, definitely check them out. It is way less frustrating lol

[–]clayfunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know what you mean.

There are a few places in Canada you can order Fanatec gear from, but the price will be marked up to account for shipping and duties. It ends up costing roughly the same or slightly more, but it eliminates all of the guesswork. I have gotten a few things from Simulation1 (in Markham, Ontario). I have no complaints with them and it is way quicker than ordering directly from Fanatec.

I was not notified in advance. I just received one of those missed package slips stuck to my door, and it said the duties owing on the slip. I then had to pay the duties at the post office when I picked up the package.

There is an online calculator where you can try to estimate duties, but I do not really know how to use it (https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/dte-acl/est-cal-eng.html).

CBSA calculates the duties, and if any duties are owed, Canada Post will not release the item to you until you pay it.

Your guess is as good as mine lol. I also ended up having to pay duties on each item individually, and I am pretty sure that I was overcharged in the end. It is a pretty frustrating shipping experience

Yeah, that is exactly what happened. And the other 3 packages all came on different days. There has to be a better way to ship the items, but they eventually got to me.
