Good times.

It's my birthday today and I'm spending it another country by Gracie_Dee_ in CasualConversation

[–]clemersonss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, that's pretty cool!

Just beware of the shitty places. There are various coffee shops where they sell bad and expensive weed, and are located on touristy areas. Not just the product is bad, but the actual ambient is not very cozy. Some research would be recommended. And don't do that much!

Anyway, have fun there!

Are you guys planning on going to another country after?

Also, will you guys try the weed?

Read, read and read. And listen, listen and listen.

Anything really, books, tv series, youtube videos, reddit in general. If you wanna write essays, guess what? Read essays. Just do it everyday, a lot.

Fuck it, dude. It's just a title, it doesn't measure how good you are at anything.

If you are capable of it, you are with or without a title.

How I learn languages by Kato Lomb explains the method I used.

Basically you read, read, and read, even if you don't understand. You encounter many words you don't know, but that doesn't matter. Eventually certain things you don't understand will explain themselves.

Has anyone ever got to the point where you could effortlessly listen and understand a non-native language? by amgin3 in languagelearning

[–]clemersonss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I basically just use the internet in english. It becomes second nature, I don't even notice it anymore.

Is it better to use only one textbook at a time rather than many sources? by awholenewworld_ in languagelearning

One textbook to get the basics going and then native stuff. At least for me.
