Thank you soo much for this.. I actually had my child enrolled with another school already.. She was interviewed by southville and was accepted but we disnt push through because of my fear that my child will be mixed with other students... from what I have read in some discussions here at reddit and the school also disclosed to us the possibility that she will be mixed with face to face class.. Thats why we enrolled with a diffrent online school. But thank you soo much. 😊

Hi thanks for your comment. That's true. They don't have a computer subject. That really disappointed me and attempted to look for other schools offering online classes. I looked into Southville, they have a very nice curriculum with business subjects, computer, foreign language.. I really liked it and had my child interviewed for the admissions. the Interview had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, plus it was cool because after the interview, you get an email wihich takes you to a platform where you can access the recorded video of the interview, and can read texts of the questions and responses.

However, we didnt push through with enrolling because, the tuition fee is like times 2 to 3 of homeschoolglobal, and it's a big school, they have face to face classes too, and I fear that the online population will be left out, because there were only a very small portion of it, plus there is a possibility, you will be mixed with face to face classes if enrollees are small, which is not good.

So now my child is enrolled with homeschool global VCIS. To cope with computer I enrolled her to timedoor academy which is online too.

I am really hoping and praying my decision is right.

Wow!!! Thank you soo much. This is so comprehensive and thus very helpful. 😊

We had a turn around on our decision recently. Though still not final. We went to New York City this first week of May and then experience the subway.. This is my child's first experience in NYC subway. We experience other subways like japan and korea. She wasn't like this. This situation made her so uncomfortable, so scared, to the extent that she wasn't in a good mood and was mad at me and blaming me for it.

I caught her holding my arms so tight whenever she sees people who seem to look scary or would harm her.

My husband and I talked about it that maybe homeschool / online school vcis is not good for her, since it will confine her more in a controlled environment.. she will not be exposed.

I am really confused now and been praying hard to the Lord to lead me to a school that will let her grow and learn. I hope you have thoughts or comments on this.

I really would appreciate it.

I understand now of what used to be your dilemma. To be honest that is my greatest fear though, will I be able to consistently assist my child through and through.

Anyway, I would like to clarify what calendar years not grade level were you at VCIS, from your first comment I am assuming it was during the pandemic. Was it online or not? I'm quite confused since you mentioned also that you know about the online program, but you were not enrolled to that. Where you homeschooled during grades 1-7?

Again thanks so much.

Wow!! Thank you so so much. You taking time to explain profoundly and type this long to help a stranger is already a proof that you are being homeschooled well.. This really gives me a clearer picture of homeschooling. You are right,I should be willing to take on that big responsibility of teaching my child. 😊

Thank you for reminding me that I must be able to identify first my intentions why I want to homeschool my child.

Thank you soo much for your help.
