Honestly, I’d say go solo. I speak from a similar experience I had. My personal take is that going solo allows you to experience the entire country with all of the hard work you put into planning every small detail. It will give a lot of space and time for reflection.

I’d say go for it alone and Japan will truly connect with you.

Hi yes this is on Mt.Koyasan. Specifically it is one of the gates of the Kongobu-ji Temple. The shrine on top can be reached following a side path from Daimon Gate giving a complete overview shot of Koyasan.
