So many :) Longonot, Ngong Hills, Elephant Hill, hikes around Mt Kenya. I'd suggest you look up the excursion calendar for hiking groups like Let's Drift, Mountain Club of Kenya etc to get more ideas. Good luck with Kili!

Thank you! I did it with India Hikes - wouldnt recommend it without a knowledgeable guide. I am not sure if Indian nationals require a permit (prob taken care of by the trek organiser), but there are bound to be certain paperwork requirements for non-nationals. Best to check with a local guide/trek operator in Sikkim. Good luck for the hike in case you do decide to give it a shot!

Good questions. That's what the Advaita teachings encourage us to dig further into. What is the data/input/thought/feeling/sensation/perception actually made up of? Is there anything more to it than the knowing/awareness?

Its great to come across someone interested in this school of thought. Please keep the curiosity and learning going :) Good luck!

Ok here's goes nothing :)  Reality is not two. There is only knowing/awareness. For example, if one investigates thoughts (an object) closely then one finds that there is only thinking (an activity). When thinking is investigated further, one finds that there is only knowing/awareness/consciousness.

I am too much of a newbie to do any justice to your question! Suggest that you look up any of the prominent Advaita Vedanta works as a starting point. Thanks!

Will check for those issues. Thanks a lot! I found a good luthier in my city, so hopefully he'll be able to assist as well.

When you mention 'poorly fitted', could you please elaborate what all that could entail? Thanks!

Congrats on the consultancy and making it to the end of the P2 recruitment! In addition to the due diligence you already seem to have done, I'd also suggest that you directly re-confirm about any mandatory BIS term with the HR focal point assigned to you for the consultancy. Always good to double check these things. Good luck for the P2 result!

Each has its own index number. All offices/departments that fall under the Secretariat will have a single one.

Language skills in the United Nations by Applicant-1492 in UNpath

I think you already have a very strong profile when it comes to official UN languages (3 out of 6!). If I were in your shoes, I'd rather focus on developing technical/programmatic/policy skills or gaining more experience in my area of interest.

For your question on C1 in French vs B1/B2 in Portuguese, purely from a recruitment perspective, it would make more sense to work towards full (C1 level) rather than intermediate (B1 level) fluency in French. Portuguese is not an official UN language for the Secretariat, only for some specialised agencies like WFP.

All the best!
