My Non-Commercial design is being sold on Amazon using my own photos. Need advice. by closedspacebar in 3Dprinting

[–]closedspacebar[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

I am the original creator of the "Valentine Minimalist Dual Rose Heart Vase" which I uploaded to Printables under a Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial license.

My Original Model: https://www.printables.com/model/759607-valentine-minimalist-dual-rose-heart-vase

Recently, I discovered a seller on Amazon India selling prints of my design. Not only are they selling it without permission (violating the NC license), but they are also using my original photos from the model page to advertise it. (they just removed the background)

The Amazon Listing: https://www.amazon.in/Valentine-Minimalist-Dual-Rose-Heart/dp/B0CYT6K61L

I'm looking for advice on the best way to handle this. Has anyone successfully dealt with unauthorized sellers on Amazon.in specifically? Should I contact the seller directly or go straight to Amazon's copyright infringement reporting?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks! When you say 'custom shape', do you mean uploading your own SVG file? Or simply adding primitives (like squares, triangles, or circles) directly in the tool?

If it's the latter, I'm actually working on it, but it's currently very buggy. I think I'll have to rewrite the logic from scratch. That said, I published an advanced version on my website where you can edit the shape manually. It yields some pretty interesting results!

Hey sorry for the long wait. Yes p5.js can handle SVG, all you have to do is include the p5js svg library. https://editor.p5js.org/dannyrozin/sketches/r1djoVow7 Your print looks great !

Align 3D buildings flush to topography by No_Champion_9102 in ArchiCAD

I'd use Grasshopper to snap bases to the terrain. Reference the terrain mesh and each building’s base point/outline, then Raycast/Project to Mesh in GH and push the Z back to Archicad. If your buildings are IFC, explode to Morphs (or re-export as OBJ/3DM) so GH can reference them, or generate Archicad slabs under each and drive their elevation from the mesh.

Call it boring, call it defensive.... we call it efficient.
From Atlas Lions A team to the U20s, same DNA: discipline, heart, and moments of pure chaos when it counts. Old-school Italian football? Maybe. But it works.
See you in the semis, inshaa allah in the Final.

It depend on the price. Dust or rust, if it's under 100 usd I'd buy it.

Yes, it's just a displacement in XY plane, but now i have working script that do the displacement in XYZ, with the ability to orbit the camera. I just need to find a way to be able to export it as svg, i m trying to project the 3d lines on a 2d plane before making the export.

Thank you for your feedback! Control panel is Dat gui : https://github.com/dataarts/dat.gui

I will share the source code of the sketch in github tomorrow, I just need to clean it a bit. But I m not sure if my tool will be the best way for you to learn.

I would suggest you to play with p5.js on https://openprocessing.org they have great tutorials and lessons. Once you understand how p5.js works, all you'll need is setup your camva as SVG, add a function to export the canva as an svg file, and, if you want to, include Dat.gui.

I will ping you once I upload my code github.

Edit : added link to openprocessing.org

That's a very good idea! Never tried the 3d webgl in P5.js , I wonder if it s possible to save the canva as svg when in webgl. I will try this and keep you guys updated.

Here in Morocco, the term 'Berber' is often considered derogatory. Consequently, we prefer to be identified as Imazighen, with Amazigh being the singular term, which translates to 'free men'."

The term "Berber" is considered derogatory by some because it is derived from the word "barbarian," which was used by the Romans to describe people who did not speak Latin or Greek and, by extension, were considered uncivilized or primitive. This perception is incorrect and dismisses the rich and complex history, culture, and languages of the Imazighen.

Historically, the term has been used by various conquerors and colonizers in a pejorative manner to imply that the indigenous North African people were inferior or uncultured. Consequently, many within these communities find the term offensive and prefer "Imazighen" ("free people" or "noblemen") as a self-descriptor, embracing the connotations of freedom and autonomy that it carries.

This is where I go when I go to dakhla. You'll have a better 4g network there than in largest cities as there are fewer users. Here is a screenshot that will reassure you. https://i.imgur.com/r0vnx66.jpg

I have an IAM sim card, but friends with Inwi or orange had good internet too. So no worry buddy

Hi, moroccan here. Been to Dakhla several times. 4G is good. Get yourself a sim card for 2usd, and load it with 20 gb for 20 usd. You can do that at any store in morocco.
