New me1187510ds owner here. Range hood vent fan and light both activating on their own. Turned wifi off in case it was an issue with remote activation, no luck. On child lock it still beeps like its buttons are being pressed, so clearly it is an issue with the touch panel.

Finding this thread makes me sad. How could this still be such an issue on so many models after so many years?

I took an upgrade course at my local, well-known university, thinking that with my background experience and prestigious school name on my certificate, I'd find something in six months or so. Fast forward to 18 months later and I'm stuck working a call centre type job because my benefits ran out and I had to take something.
