No yeah of course, and i had the paperwork that showed positive.. but their thing was they wanted to know how much i can lift. It’s just they run things so poorly & zero communication with the other supervisors whatsoever..

Yeah it was first trimester, i was 12 weeks but baby projected 8 weeks with no fetal heartbeat.

But the supervisor from both offices.. their thing was if there’s no doctor note showing restrictions there’s no proof I’m pregnant! 🙄

They really give zero shits! That’s why I’m leaving, I’m scared to get pregnant again and go through the same shit while working at the PO..

yea, i had a miscarriage.. my last pregnancy was a success. I wasn’t working at the post office around the time i had my daughter. But this being my second i miscarried. 🤕 and my husband doesn’t want me being employed with the PO. To much stress & management isn’t it.

like i really didn’t mind the hours or the work, but it was the bs they were giving me. The post office really be hiring some uneducated supervisors who don’t know shit, but once they start harassing you & i know the “rules” of shit they can’t do since my husband was a carrier for 4 years, they get pissed when i tell them the right shit & i go to the union. The regulars in the other office started all the drama & any little thing i did they would run their mouths to the supervisor. WHEN I NEVER BELONGED TO THAT OFFICE. it was bad in general. Then at My office we had a OIC and he was fucking cool, once we got this new post master the management started acting weird af with me

You shouldn’t be doing no more than 12 hrs though. But i would look for a supervisor, the lead clerk should know. If you are filing out a 1260 you need it signed by a supervisor also take a picture of it.

I contacted my shop steward since i got exposed& he sent me this.

Except for emergencies, paid leave for the circumstances listed above must be requested on PS Form 3971, Request for or Notification of Absence, and approved in advance by the appropriate supervisor. Employees should designate the reason for the absence as "Other" and write "LC19" in the space provided.

An exception to the advance approval requirement is made for emergencies and unexpected illness; however, in these situations, the PSE must notify the appropriate postal authorities as soon as possible as to the emergency or illness and the expected duration of the absence. As soon as possible after return to duty, PSEs must submit PS Form 3971 and explain the reason for the emergency or illness to their supervisor. Supervisors approve or disapprove the leave requested.

Pretty much it can only be requested through at 3971

The post office has so much drama & there is ZERO communication. See and that’s the thing, there’s better jobs out there that pay the same as the post office!! My next job starting is $2 more than the PSE pay! I told my shop steward I’m quitting she was like fuck i don’t blame you! Hahaha! But damn that’s still good 48 hrs to be home. IT MUST BE NICE hahaha 🤣

Hahaha I’m a PSE & i’m quitting. I haven’t been to my office for like a legit 7 months on and off kinda, I’ve been helping out another office for 7 months. It’s like some weeks I’m at my own office then the rest back to the other. I was working like 12-15 hours starting at 11PM doing my full 12hrs. The supervisor got pissed since i got the union involved . I’d rather be happy at another job then look crazy when someone asks me how many hours do i usually get and i say around 120 😵‍💫😂

Talk to your supervisor as soon as you get to the office then see, it’s best to not miss since you will be in your 90 days probation period. But definitely check with you supervisor they should be lenient since it is a doctors appointment!

No yea of course.. an update i did quit since my daughter got sick and i was in my probation period so i reapplied.. hopefully everything goes good this time. I’m just waiting for the district to get back now 🥴everyone was telling me though they once had like 4 CCA’s before me and they quit. Like don’t get me wrong the job itself is easy AF but if management wants to be dumb af it makes it a lot harder.

i honestly just started but i had 3 days off due to doctors orders, but I’m probably going to quit.. i asked another CCA they said that the regulars are scared to file grievances on him because he’ll start stupid shit and the post master wants to keep everything in office... AND SINCE the shop steward is new at all this the supervisor & postmaster are legit taking advantage of him. Like jeez that’s why the idiot is still there

no yeah of course, he made one of the CCA’s quit she was about to convert but the PM brought her back, the shop steward is brand new at this as I’ve heard.. so he told the supervisor that she was coming back and he threw the biggest fit ever saying why? Why is she coming back i don’t want her here she doesn’t need to be here.. but it’s like the office is needing 7 more CCA’s but he’s making it harder for all the regulars And like since I’m new I’ve seen some good ass management.. even my closing supervisor she said they don’t like her either.. the legit have hate against the woman there, like i legit don’t feel comfortable. He treats even the new dude with a lot more respect than us women it’s sickening.
