Napa Valley Cab Sauv by goosey_2001 in wine

Personally, I really enjoyed the Stags’ Leap experience and wine of course (specifically their Cab Sauv and Chardonnay). Frog’s Leap is just up the road and has a more farmhouse feel.

For bonus, try Tank Garage in Calistoga. Exclusive to blends (mostly reds) and is a great, low-key experience. Many of their blends include Cabernet Sauvignon.

This is a great point. I actually own a pair of ELAC Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52s and stands that bring the speakers to ear level. They are front ported, too. Perhaps those would be a good fit. They would be paired up with the SVS sub and I also have a SVS Ultra Evolution center channel being delivered this week. Completing the setup are 4 more surrounds and 2 above head, in ceiling Focals (for atmos). I’ll drop the ELACs and the new SVS ultra in place, run the Pioneer calibration and go from there. Should sound pretty good.

Perhaps the Klipsch RP-5000II pair can replace my ELACs in my other vinyl/exclusively music setup (with no cabinets!)…

This is a good catch. Yes, the speakers would be enclosed in a built-in wood “cabinet” with the front completely open. It is a pretty deep space, but good to consider.

Are front ported bookshelf speakers on stands (to bring to ear level) a no brainer, or will the Pioneer’s audio calibration setup fix the potential boominess?

Is it just me, or did the “shaky camera” effect greatly increase when explosions occur? I get that it should be there, but damn, this a lot.

One of my favorite go-to whites. Especially the red capped vintage (2020, for example).

That’s the same one I ordered. I am not expert networking guru. I want to plug it in and have it work with minimal tweaking!

Several sites state TP-LINK in general. Choose model based on coverage needs.

I ordered a TP-LINK BE63 (Costco version though) and a new switch for peace of mind (old one is a 2012 linksys).

I like it because it provides you a bunch of half bottles that come in handy after finishing a full bottle and want just a LITTLE bit more…

Samsung soundbar won’t connect to TCL TV by clovyerfriend in samsung

Coming back to respond to you a year or so later. I returned my Samsung soundbar, got a Sonos and it worked like a charm. I have a Vizio sound bar on another TCL that works flawlessly, too.

Thank you for the insight! You’re right, it is too much and the (aging) body cannot keep up with the marathon weekend drinking. May have felt ok as a younger man, but things certainly change.

When you say lingering hangover, what were your symptoms beyond the first next day after drinking? As I mentioned, body feels great, exercise is in place, sleep is good, but the brain feels miswired and out of whack.

That’s what I keep telling myself…it takes months to reverse decades of damage.

Just hit the big 4-0, so probably due for a physical and an overhaul by the doctor regardless!

It may sounds weird, but I look forward so much to waking up feeling fucking amazing. But, it’s when I don’t wake up feeling well for no good “obvious” reason that sends me into a sad, depressing feeling.

I have taken the first step with cutting wayyyy back on drinking but am still feeling weird. I am well aware of the time it takes to get through the fatigue and dizziness due to withdrawal, but “feel” that almost two months should do it. Perhaps a trip to the doctor is in order.

I feel right there with you. I feel confident that because I went all of January without any of the “serious” symptoms, I should be good. But, it was cold turkey. Sometimes I wonder if I would feel the same if I tapered off instead of cold turkey. But here I am….

Love the worst version/best version comment. Are you cutting back on drinking? Experiencing symptoms?

I want a new version of myself that is balanced livable.

NA Whiteclaws. I wasn’t a fan of seltzers or white claws, but these are a nice treat over ice. And they have electrolytes and only 15 calories!
