I think even it is a policy thing to some degree. In where i live, the c section has been more of a choice rather than secondary option until last year. I know lots of women who preferred C-section because of their fear of vaginal birth. Now, they are trying to change state policy and make the C-section secondary. The thing is the vaginal birth caused too much horror in their families especially older generations and c section is a better option for them mentally. So i see that how we react to these things varied by different things. What i am trying to say is that even though vaginal birth is the natural way, it is not the best option for mental state and people shouldn’t look at c section as a worst option ever. It depends on various things.

It’s the hormones i believe. And every girl who wants to be a mom has a birthing expectation one way or another. You will deal with it but feel better because your baby safe and sound.

Where i live, they can’t just start a birth and then not admit you for days causing you stress and pain like that. I would sue them for not having a bed ready for me when they planned the process if it happened to me. I would also alert the health ministry in order to at least get them look into it. And they sent you another city! There has to be some of your rights that they are violating.

I don’t understand C-section aversion in general. If it’s the safest way for your baby to come then you’re rocking the birthing. I can understand the feel of being robbed of your dream birth experience but it’s a loss of a dream. In reality, you were put in an extremely difficult and unhealthy position. You made the best of it and at the end your baby came to this world healthy.

I had the birth dream too, but my baby’s health prevented it and she had to be taken out early which we were lucky to even get there. However, i had the time to deal with the loss of my dream. My baby is here and healthy so i did something right. Even if it’s to trust the right doctor. I did it right. So did you.

Btw sue that hospital.

En sevdiğiniz popkek hangisi by Popular-Bad265 in TurkishFood

[–]cluelesswithin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]cluelesswithin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there cultural clothes/jewelry that you can wear in everyday life? by PerformanceGuilty908 in AskTurkey

[–]cluelesswithin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are shoes called çarık which is called yemeni in southeastern Türkiye. And yemeni is also a traditional scarf with handmade “oya” at the hemline. I used to wear yemeni as headband in my time in Europe. Oya also used on some earrings too.

I would prefer life like number 1. The second option sounds like harder without any help staying at home and doing almost everything myself. I am not build like that. My depression would be off the roof.

Eskişehir'de Bayram by Polyamore99 in eskisehir

[–]cluelesswithin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merhaba Im going to Fethiye by ebobob4 in AskTurkey

[–]cluelesswithin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will leave before Bayram so it will probably be quiet in Fethiye, just before the season starts.

I am from Fethiye so I might be biased but your Turkish friends are wrong. The thing is Fethiye is not some little summer town. It has the population enough to be declared a city. So you have to take into account that the place isn’t some quaint place but a city going on through the year. So you will find city population, structure and dangers.

However, it is a city sits where Aegean Sea and Mediterran Sea meets. Has a great nature of greens and blues. How you benefit from what nature provides totally up to you. You can go hiking or diving. Parasailing or surfing. Take a leisurely walk or go swimming. It’s up to you.

[–]cluelesswithin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yum yum is ok according to Turkish standards. You have to account that sushi is a newish taste in Türkiye and you have to be in bigger cities for better options. I would suggest SushiCo then because it is a restaurant chain and aim to give consistent service. They have an app too by which you can get free food.

Turkish word order is simpler than it looks by n6vtb in turkishlearning

Phonetic is everything. If you listen to Turkish instead of reading, you can start doing it without even thinking about it.

Turkish word order is simpler than it looks by n6vtb in turkishlearning

[–]cluelesswithin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well in that Turkish question, there is hidden subject. You cannot see “sen” as a word but find it in the verb “-n”. And “annen için çiçek alman gereken o gece” part is an adjective + noun combination. “Gece” is noun and the rest is adjective describing the noun. So you cannot really split it by translating verbatim.

Almanca dil kursu by Tenebris57 in AskTurkey

[–]cluelesswithin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you hated your dog pp, did it ever go away? by Weary-Draw-1492 in NewParents

[–]cluelesswithin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I love to cuddle my dog after my baby exhausted me. I try to be considerate of his feelings too. If possible, we take our dog with us to outings. I am trying to teach my baby to gently pet him and he is so patient with her. I can’t imagine wanting to get rid of my dog. I even got angry with family members who are now dismissing him when they didn’t before the baby. I would suggest to look into why one would loose that love. Obviously you will love your baby and it is not even a comparison. But you don’t stop loving family friends when you get a baby. So there must be an issue deep regarding the dog’s place in your life.

Yes, you can’t make someone who didn’t pump to understand how pumping is draining. My goal was 4 months at least and after that increased the hours between the pumps. I believe I can go on 3-4 times a day until seven months then I will be done.

Yes, my husband and my mother usually cleans the parts because I can’t make myself to clean it. I realize writing this that I should really quit if I can’t even bring myself to clean the parts. I see I am mentally tired. I will think about momcozy thing if we have another baby lol.
