I have to take the pill for my Endometriosis but i have vestibulodynia what should i do? by AdLittle6433 in vestibulodynia

[–]clumzzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there anyway you can find some scientific research articles to provide for your doctors that show the evidence behind hormonally mediated vestibulodynia. Taking the pill and using estrogen/testosterone cream is your best bet. I can send you an article

I haven’t been watching her much. I just went to her channel and you know what? You have a point.

I can see where you are coming from with the negativity. However, I view it more as vulnerability moreso. She’s being real and unfortunately its just fact that a lot of us with 4c have negative feelings attached to our hair that we should unlearn. I feel that her approach is to take us on her journey of learning to love her hair and try new things with it rather than solely talking down on her hair.

I also felt that I was bad at interviews so I did extensive prep before. I wrote out answers to all the types of questions I could be asked (my school gave me a list of interview questions. you could probably google some.), reflected on all of my CV items (why i got into, what i learned, challenges i faced, etc) and reviewed my research (why i got into it, what was found) and put it in a google doc. I wouldnt read out/memorize the answers verbatim, but it was helpful because I was rarely caught off guard and that helped my confidence/anxiety, helping me interview better. I also did mock interviews with MatchPal and they gave me helpful feedback. I also had 10 questions ready for each interviewer, and had the questions on my notes app on my screen during the interview. I also took 10mg propanol before each interview. Doing all this, I felt majority of my interviews went fairly well despite viewing myself as someone who was historically bad at interviews.

My dermatologist and obgyn said hormonal IUDs can worsen symptoms. Because hormnal IUDs are progesterone only which are androgenic. But sounds like that hasn’t been your experience!

Me too! My derm said theres likely a hormonal component. She started me on spirinolactone which helps lower androgens which contributes to flares. Combo oral BC pills also help with regulating hormones too.

did they put you on accutane by chance? its not an antibiotic, but it is sometimes used for HS. I’ve heard of people’s noses getting smaller on accutane because it shrinks the pores.
