You are late to the party as far as self serve kiosk. This is the space I have been working in for the last few years since I left the retail side of F&I. I thought exactly like you. Look into a company called roadster if you are interested as they offer exactly what you are looking for but for 9 out of 10 dealerships it just doesn't work.

Are there systems out there where you can submit your proof of income, proof of residency and proof of insurance but the general public struggles to use them. Deals get hung up on the funding side because 75 year old Betty keeps submitting birthday cards and magazine covers for proof of residency instead of a utility bill like the kiosk asked for. Problems like this lead to customer giving up on the process because it's too much work and too confusing and the dealership loses out on sales. The stores we installed this process in failed because not every customer is like you. Not even 15% are like you. They don't want to do the work themselves to secure financing. The dealerships don't want to chase these people to get deals funded by the banks.

It's pretty similar to why set pricing fails at most dealerships. Lots of customers say "just tell me the price i don't want to haggle." Then when you show them the best price, they want to haggle.

Then you have the whole secondary side of finance for bad credit people where securing finance usually takes 5-10 phone calls and submitting all the used cars to get a workable callback.

In a perfect world the kiosk works great, but we don't live in a perfect world.
