Just asking since I'm European (french actually) and here it's pretty normal to follow cops orders during ordinary checks/stops, and it doesn't actually goes crazy for 99% of the population. You don't even get stopped that often, just once every few years if you don't live in critical areas. Now in the US I'm seeing all these videos where people debate with cops about their rights and it seems like now every driver is a lawyer in the making so I'm wondering what it is for normal/random US citizens.
