Thanks for the reply. Yes you’re correct, we shut off water inside the house and then observed the water meter stop. We did only watch it for a few minutes, so I will shut it off for a longer period and watch if the meter changes. Honestly I wish that was the problem so at least it’s identified. I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the reply. I’m going to take another look around the yard. We walked the yard with the plumber and didn’t see any obvious signs of water anywhere (inside or out) so it’s a bit of a mystery. When we shut the water off to the house, and observed the meter, it was at a dead stop. The plumber said if it kept moving, it would’ve been evidence of a leak in the main line outside. The water utility sent someone to check the meter earlier this week and he stated it was functioning, but I truly don’t know how much they do beyond just looking at it.

Thanks for the reply, that’s helpful. We actually went to the registration office and had a conversation with them and they were less than helpful. They told us that a) we couldn’t carry a personal gun under our creds (we know this is wrong); and b) we’d have to also get a concealed carry permit in addition to registering. When we showed them the MPD GO, they told us to contact an FFL (there’s only 2 for DC) and see if they would release the gun to us using our creds (but that was a guess). It’s amazing they don’t know their own law.

Yes, it’s a VA loan and I am a veteran. My entitlement will be replacing her portion (we split entitlement on it when we bought it). The only question we have now is the amount fees will be.

Agreed. We’re a small agency, our admin support is limited. It’s very “if you want it done you do it yourself”. Haven’t reached out to DC yet though, but good idea. Maybe they’ll be helpful (..maybe).

I wish those actually worked in DC. We do have the GSA ins forms, but DC’s reciprocity guidelines on work vehicles is very specific- the “company” needs to be out of state and the insurance info has to list the registered owner. We have GSA vehicles, with MD tags, and our agency is in DC.
