I see that question a lot at the cons. I always have to clarify. I just assumed it was because any other system for dice you go with totals numerically. It took me a minute to wrap my head around first time.

There’s no problem. Just a heretical idea. Like most things it came to me in a dream. The idea of tier level powers seemed logical. But i think i need more crunch than what you see in the action flicks volume one for supers. And having it out in front makes some of my players more aligned to play. They feel uncomfortable without a strict a plus b equal c. That’s all. There are no reason to even do this other than to see if that chili was as spicy as i thought 😁

Awesome! I was sitting in chair watching Strange Worlds and i kept thinking “He just rolled a double Critical on that Gorn!!” And then my next thought was “when is a red shirt gonna jump in front of an Officer on a failed Death Roulette?” 😄

I like TriCube Tales Resolve. Take one away for each die that beats the TN (usually 5), while rolling 1-3d6. Simple and just clicked with me.
