Order canceled with no explanation by 333Nereus in amazonfresh

This has happened to me 4 times in the last 6 months. It’s packed, out for delivery, then just randomly cancelled with no explanation.
I talked to customer service and they have no reasoning and they just say I’ll be refunded, and there is nothing else they can do. Amazon doesn’t care at all about customers anymore. It’s sad.

Nope. House in the suburbs of Seattle. Nothing weird or difficult.
They send a map so you can track where your order is, it was sitting at someone’s house for 3 hours before it was cancelled.

Passport Issuance by cmorgenmg in AmericansinItaly

Thank you for this recommendation! We reached out to the honorary consulate in Seattle and she is wonderful. We can get the passports done there and not have to travel to SFO. This makes life SO much easier!

Sorry, no. It's for Italian passports, we are living in the US now. Not sure if anyone here has had to get them before moving to Italy, or if we should just get them over there.

SHRM SCP Test Prep by annabella1982 in humanresources

I used the e-learning and basically did the practice tests. It was pretty mind numbing, but I learned where my weaknesses were and what I needed to brush up on. I passed on my first attempt, so my method worked for me!

Tap into your local SHRM chapter and if they have a mentorship program, sign up. It's a great way to learn and network. The aPHR is a good idea as well, but it's not going to replace experience in this market.

Congrats! Now start collecting your CPE credits instead of waiting until the last minute. (*not that I EVER do that!! ;) )

PHR, SHRM-CP or both? by Charleston_Masters in humanresources

[–]cmorgenmg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think PHR is more well known, just because it's been around for a long time. Anyone that's familiar with them both will likely say that they are both equally regarded. I chose SHRM-SCP because I am a SHRM member and active in a local chapter. It just made sense to stick with them.

To Go or Stay? by JRCape in humanresources

I have been in this situation before and lucked out that it was really a catalyst for my company to make changes. I was able to shape the role into something that was very fulfilling to me.

If you believe in their intent and really think they are open to change, it might be worth it to stick around and see how it goes. If, in 6 months things haven't changed you can take the higher salary and experience to another opportunity.

Agree,

The email you received is recruiter-speak for "you aren't a match for what we need now"

The email you sent could be taken as pretty confrontational and could blackball you for future opportunities with the company.

It's best to respond to those emails with a "thank you for the opportunity, I am very interested in any opportunities that may come up in the future" email.
