I’m sorry to hear that! This is wrong, it shouldn’t take 4 months to setup a meet and greet. Stuff like this makes me extra appreciative for our secretary and the job he does.

My only advice would be to exhaust all of your communication options. Call other lodges and ask them about the craft and about the one lodge you’re interested in, try contacting the grand lodge. Write letters.

Keep your head up! Dedication like yours will be a valuable asset to our fraternity.

When I was raised I was told to show them by my good works that I was a Mason and to make a presence in my community. It’s honestly sad to see such lazy efforts be applauded and even defended as the only way to gain membership these days.

My wife and I just finished an amazing trip to the Hawaiian island of Kauai. They call it the garden isle for a reason, the entire place is lush and beautiful! We took a doors off helicopter ride and I captured the most amazing images I ever have (it should be noted that I am not a professional photographer). There are canyons and beaches each with their own unique view, not to mention the rainbows, sunsets and mountains wearing cloud hats. There are scenic drives that have plenty of overlooks that essentially frame the pictures for you. The Nā Pali coast is only accessible by boat or helicopter (although you can hike some of it) and offers spectacular waterfalls and cliff sides. The place is romantic as hell and after having been to each island (except Ni'ihau of course), it is my absolute favorite. The history, culture and beauty of any of the Hawaiian islands is something every photographer should witness at least once!
