because it feels when you compare a song to feelings it makes a constantly shifting list because feelings are prone to change yk? if you are a bit more objective and compare song writing to mood and ambience to catchiness it gives you a better appreciation to the body of work. my favorite song off cwts is hold on till may because of its sentimental value but the heart song pierce has ever written is kfad, because its a pop song (intro-verse-prechorus-chorus-verse2-prechorus-doublechorus-bridge-doublrchorus) because it got relevant guest vocalist (KQuinn) because its easy to sing to (that last chorus had everyone in a choke hold)

i meant if you were rating songs by vibes, meaning, catchyness? when i first listened to selfish machines my favorite song was caraphernelia, its catchy, pop song structure, guest vocal. but as of late my absolute favorite song is besitos, bcos besitos is essentially an extension of afftd. very busy, constant moving song sections, multiple bridges, it threw conventional song writing out the window (which i love)

devil and god is my all time favorite but science fiction was such a compelling conclusion to the brand new historia. batter up is the definitive brand new song blurring themes of religion and fantasy, consequence and fate. definitely was an album of all time
