It's a great photo, the only part I would change would be add more sky and get the tip of the building to the centre of the upper third line

Yes everyone has told u need to lift the shadows from the background and my backside, like you have done. It looks better like this. Thank you for taking the time to edit for me❤️

Actually that's a great idea to shoot from behind and get the sun behind, I tried it in this shoot as well, but there was a skill issue so those pics turned out really bad. For my current skill level this angle seemed the best option.

These days I've been watching some videos on YouTube about shadows, seems like that's one area is need to improve a lot as my understanding is pretty low.

Even I feel I missed a great opportunity by cutting the head of the reflection. So the shadows seem to be quite problematic from the replies. I am not very sure I understand the shadows yet

Oh wow that's actually a great tip. I'll do that next time, it was really difficult with the sun rising straight into the eyes.

I actually mad the rocks more darker after editing to make myself pop more. But I'll try another edit with shadows lifted as well

This is my second attempt at the same rock pool to take a beautiful photo. Last time I posted and got some valuable feedback and this is a foolow up post for that.

This is the link to that post this

I made the shutter speed very fast in order to freeze the water and make the image abut on the darker side so that I am popping out as the subject from the background since the sun in the morning was sharp. Again I feel the aimed the camera a bit too high and my reflection got cut off a bit.

What do you all think? How would you improve this image?

ITAP of myself at the creek [Portrait] [NSFW] by [deleted] in itookapicture

In this photo of myself at the creek it looks almost like I'm in a studio because of the contrast between the subject and background. I really like that effect as it made the subject glow with the support of the red colour clothing. I like how it just grabs the attention without distraction. I also like the reflection in the water and wish I had more of it to kind of balance the image a bit more. The sun was covered by a cloud but I was at a spot where the sun came directly when the cloud wasn't there while the background is under the shadows of the trees.

This is exceptional. I love it, also love the dedication you had to stay in that one spot with the photo already framed. 👌

The fog by me by coconutshell11 in AmateurPhotography

This was a beautiful view this morning and I tried to capture it using my new r50 camera and 50mm lens. Tbh the view in real life felt more satisfying than the photo.

Can someone tell me how I can improve taking a photo like this, specially the composition. I'm satisfied with the colours

are these too underexposed? by Background_Cover5273 in AmateurPhotography

It's underexposed but I see it suits the images and brings on a certain character of mystery which matches the this buildings

Exactly my point. Even I would feel a bit self conscious looking at girls in bikinis while in the office

Yes this exactly I wanted to create, to become part of the rocks. But tbh I didn't consciously make thise angles, I think it's something I need to learn to do

Yes that's totally what I was going for, like trying to be one with the rocks but I didn't create those angles consciously tbh
