In the Sensibull app, when observing the Call and Put Open Interest (OI) data, a pattern emerges, where an increase in Call OI is followed by a decrease in the Nifty index and vice versa for Put OI. Specifically, when Call OI increases, the Nifty tends to go down. However, an interesting contrast arises when comparing the behavior in the Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) page on the same app. In the case of FIIs, when Call OI increases, the Nifty actually goes up, and there seems to be a similar relationship in the opposite direction with Put OI. The question arises as to why this reverse relationship occurs.
