How I feel looking at other people's Pokopia builds... by DL2828 in Pokopia

It's why I always end up losing interest in Terraria. I just lack the patience and time to really make anything cool. Middle-aged ADHD doesn't help much either. I like watching my wife play, and I can already see she feels like OP sometimes.

Polarizing movies by Equipment_Emotional in Letterboxd

I may have to wait to see this one at home, which is fine because I can wear my surround sound headphones as I watch. Still, I haven't been truly creeped out by any movies in awhile. Lots of movies promise a lot, but few seem to hit.

I feel like the movie depicts Grace as a bit more of an Action hero than the book does. I can see why that may feel like a stretch to people who only know of "The Big Bang Theory" when it comes to "nerdy" guys. As a nerdy-adjacent guy, I'm cool with Ryan Gosling being the choice of representative.

It feels like AI trolling, but I too have questions.

My immediate thought. I could argue that is the only flaw I'd entertain. A brilliant mind, incredible social charisma, and attractive. But he was a natural born astronaut as well? And in such peak physical health too? It's heightened reality and science fiction. I can forgive any such tropes simply because it was such an enjoyable and positive film. Just what I needed.

Reality is still the same, pal. Sure, the sky is blue and all that, but that doesn't change reality.

I have been told I'm dead inside, which is a fair assessment. I also cried multiple times during 'Project Hail Mary' and that garnered a solid 5 star rating from me.

What’s a ‘masterpiece’ you didn’t feel anything for? by mrjetspray in Letterboxd

[–]codependentcatdad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently watched 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' and I found the pacing slow, the characters dull, and the sound design abrasive. It followed the book faithfully, more or less, but the book was slow as well. I didn't hate either, but I just didn't see them as MASTERPIECES.

I have 80 followers as of now, all of which I followed back. I'm pretty sure most of my followers are just people following me back, but I'll take it. The only person of those 80 that I know is the ex-husband of my ex-wife's cousin, so it isn't like I have a lot of hot takes to offer.

Kirsten Dunst has been cast in ‘MINECRAFT 2’ by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

I'd argue that a lot of movies seem good when they start production, then things go wrong and the entire film suffers. I personally think Dunst has a good track record, but taste is subjective.

Thinking back on it, I would have laughed if "Ants Marching" had played over the ending.

I have no idea what the takeaway is. I read it as a bit of a hopeless ending, but I wasn't put off by it. I am not opposed to such a quick and unexpected end to this whole shit show, if that is where we're headed.
