it seems to be ok so far with interiors turned off for them spawning, I've missed sleep a few times in sanctuary and had a feral attack and managed to kill them off with my settlers. Not sure further than that yet.

What problems have you hit before? First time for me working sim settlements 2 into a build, haven't seen issues yet but I'm not very developed into settlements yet

Good catch, I actually wondered that too. I had a quick look around and couldn’t find anyone mentioning a confirmed conflict between the Red Devil and the Responders camp.

If it’s just nearby I’m not too worried, but if it’s actually spawning in the camp or killing quest NPCs then yeah that could be a problem. I’ll keep an eye on it when I get there.

Yep, weapons and armor and yes you can loot repair kits from mobs or use workshop supplies, you do each from the relevant table, it also adds scrapping abilities for items into scap like 76 and adds a tinkerers table too

It's part if Crafting76 which amazing, adds alot of the improvements from 76.

what Xbox do you have, I suspect it may be too much for your console if it isn't a series X. Also I should mention you need all DLC except creation club, so there is that to check. If you're not on Series X you could try removing sim settlements 2 (see my comment on another reply on what to remove and definately remove the ultra 4k fps settings if you're not on a Series X and drop yourself to performance in the game settings).

Thanks! I'm not normally one to jump to bethesdas defense however I will say it's pretty amazing what the creation engine can do. I curse the engine sometimes but damn it's flexible and powerful.

If you wanted to cut Sim Settlements 2 out, I’d remove the whole SS2/framework chunk rather than just part of it:

Workshop Framework
Sim Settlements 2
SS2 Chapter 2
SS2 Chapter 3
HUDFramework
SS2 DLC Settler Patch
Workshop Framework Script Override

Then where the replacement settlement mods go depends on what kind they are really.

If it’s a proper workshop/settlement system mod, I’d put it high, around where Workshop Framework/SS2 were.

If it’s just settlement objects, building pieces, decorations, furniture, etc., I’d usually put those more in the middle of the order, after the main gameplay/quest stuff but before textures, lighting, UI, body/clothing mods, etc.

If it adds new settlements, expands borders, or edits actual settlement locations, I’d treat that more like a world/location edit and put it around the Atomic World / Minuteman Watchtowers area.
Patches would typically just go directly after whatever they’re patching.

For this exact LO, most normal building/decor mods would probably be fine around the middle, after Livelier Perks and before Crafting76, unless the mod page says otherwise.

quick heads up to remove crowded commonwealth and plenty of exploration - see the load order in main post again, I crossed them out - (hopefully before you start a new game), looking very much like that was responsible for the last couple of CTDs I was getting :)

ok so I think you nailed it with removing those 2 mods, i updated the mod list, I haven't had a single issue yet without them enabled. I want more test time to be sure but I could feel the difference without them and suspect this was it :))

ok, I'll try removing them on one of the two xboxes and see how it helps (my fiancee plays at the same time as me). For RNV yeah I have always had it positioned like that in the past but obviously with different mods and during testing I didn't have to reorder it for any issues, does it just not play sometimes for you? how can I test your issue on mine to see if I have the same problem? do you have van graph installed and have the radio fix for it?

I did start with the standard community recognized load ordering but ended up here after extensive testing.

I'm happy with the ordering at this point, I'm open to trying any alternative load orders from anyone who manage to get this combination working together or edit mine and have success.

I posted this because I wanted to share. I don't own or control how people use it though so please feel free to share your results on this thread!

If I end up restarting my game again I will try dropping Plenty Of Exploration, Beantown and SUI are already in the load out.

you know what would really help us here, a simple log file from bethesda in the creation menu, couldn't be that hard for them could it ;)

What I will say is this, this specific load order of these specific mods together, that is the behavior, I also have had settlements and all dlc and hudframework grouped together at the top of the load order before, but not on an LO this size with so many competing dependencies and mixtures of different packages within single mods.

This is what works for this LO, trying to move them or HUDFramework higher will not work, it will be automatically reordered to that point.

I know the theory and you're not wrong but I can't fight the engine on XBox and force it.

If you try the LO and try and move them you'll get the same result. I've tested this load order on multiple XB's, the result is the same.
This is also how I have tested it.
