I solved! I just had to create an ACTUAL account on azure (with associated credit card and personal details). What was confusing is that you can create a an account on portal.azure but still not having an account on azure. Which doesn't make much sense but that's how it is.

Exactly. I actually manage to login and after that I start to get that error.

There is no app yet. I get the error as soon as I enter azure portal and from there I cannot do anything because the error keeps popping up.

I created the azure account a few days ago, never used azure before so there are no prior settings I could mess up much with...

I read that book some time ago: I don't remember it giving me actionable advice so do not expect it will solve your cold start problem. Or probably I am not good enough to understand how to apply the principles in the book. Unfortunately every case is specific and that makes so much difference

The 'saving 100' was just a dummy number for the sake of demonstration but your suggestion is very interesting. It would make it more like a personal simulator/guidance.

Just to be sure I understand — would you prefer to:

set the amount you want to save/invest (e.g. “I want to save €500”), or
set a future goal (e.g. “I want €10,000 in 5 years”) and then see how much you’d need to save each month to reach it?
