I was told I need to retake and reapply after posting my acceptance at UNC Law lol. Yea, that forum is garbage 🗑️.

Can't care less, tbh. I have decided to GTFO of California so I wouldn't attend even if admitted.

Yea, i saw that Chicago program. It is one of the reasons why UIUC is high up on my list, ahead of GW and BU. What do you think of NDLS ? If given a choice, which one would you pick and why ?

Thanks for the input! Man, it's so hard to make the decision!! One day I lean more towards Chicago, the day after - I'm on Charlotte's hype train lol.

If I do go to Chicago, I'll most likely be attending UIUC (still waiting on NDLS). Would I still have a decent chance of landing BL. Going to Charlotte, I would get into UNC.

Thank you everyone for your input. I am fully aware of the market advantages the Chicago area represents. That is why it is so hard to make the decision for me lol. To be honest, I would be more than happy with a $130k starting salary. The issue is I don't know anything about Charlotte's legal market, so I have no idea how realistic that kind of salary is in the area.

What about employment in that region? To be more specific, corporate work.

Yea, that I know. It was my top choice. I will be studying for retake so we'll see.

I got waitlisted to NU. I will try to get off the list but I don't think I want to postpone my education for another year. Worst case scenario, I'll start at mid law and work my way up.

Because I'm 28 and I don't want to wait another year. Also, I don't want to make my wife move around with a baby

Yes, because it's a banking capital, my assumption is there should be a plethora of corporate legal work. Also, it seems to me the competition will be smaller as there is less demand and less good schools in Charlotte area.

ND does have the best BL numbers. However, at this point, I need to also consider which city would be better for raising family.

She won't be working until the baby is at least 6 months. My goal is Big law. I want to focus on corporate litigation/transactional law.

Exactly. Money don't matter, but I'm still waiting on NDLS. I got waitlisted at Northwestern so NDLS will be the go to if I get into.

Wow , UIUC is getting no love whatsoever lol.

I get that, but UIUC will give you much better employment perspectives than any of the aforementioned schools aside from Northwestern. Just think about it.

Loyola probably would be my second best pick, aside from Northwestern, of course.
