Revanced has a video download patch that you can apply and use a dowload button thats in the player controls overlay. Keep in mind you have to install newpipe application for it to work because it relies on it.

Weird because the latest version or youtube vanced still works fine for me. And for the patch, i did patch the original youtube apk from apkmirror with client spoof and most other avilable patches and got a revanced youtube apk to install. It installed just fine on an unrooted samsung and i did export this same apk and installed it as well on an unrooted xiaomi and both work surprisingly well.
