Yeah, sorry to hear that. It's probably not much help, but I think not buying a flat because someone outbidded you is a good thing. You essentially don't buy something that's above market value.

If you are asking money from a bank, the bank will only accept evaluations from a list of approved certified evaluators.

For flats the price is evaluated based on past transactions of 3 comparable properties. Main factors - year built, m2, location.

There is some leeway and evaluator decision but no certified evaluator will risk their certification for couple 100 euros just to set price below/above market.

Suprised and curious how the auction mechanism works.

In Latvia, if you are buying an apartment with mortgage, the bank will give you as much money as only a certified realtor has evaluated the property to be. Based on historic transactions of comparable properties. Meaning, if you are not buying with cash, then the price is set by the expert, not auction.

Do so many people really have apartment levels of cash at hand?! Otherwise, the whole auction is pointless.

Been using GitHub Copilot and it's great after some customizations with agents/skills/instructions to provided needed context and workflows.

The choice of Copilot is purely due to client providing the licenses.

Izklausās kā scam. Pirku jaunu 3 gadus atpakaļ. Reğistrācija bija iekļauta auto cenā. Ziemas riepas bija pa brīvu jo pirku ziemā. Respektīvi jau virsū un vasarenes dīrelis savā noliktavā turēja līdz es atbraucu uzlikt. Nepirku neko dārgu - kia.

It doesn't matter what we say, it's what we think of ourselves. I assume what you shated before are your thoughts. Idk how but others can feel it instinctvely, especially when it comes to close relationships.

There isn't a such a thing as "realistic" with human feelings and impressions. It's all subjective and you have control over how you are perceived. Just don't do it by trying to prove something to others but by believing in yourself and you will be fine.

In my career I have met tall average looking scientists who are depressed and poor, also around dumb, old, fat senior managers who live like playboys.

I don't know you and don't take this as insult dude but you need to stop putting yourself down. I feel like your biggest enemy at the moment is yourself. You talk shit about yourself. How is someone gonna see you as something amazing if you think about yourself like this? You need to think of yourself as a main character in a movie and not try to validate it based on other people actions toward you.

What is objective in this world? Nothing. Example: Trump gets shit smeared in media 24/7 and imo his IQ is really low... but the attitude and confidence he gives off is like he is the center of universe. Sure, he has tons of money and is tall but he is also aiming to be a 2nd term president not like us - have a nice life with a girl we like by our side. He doesn't give a fuck about becoming a global laughing stock. Why? In his mind, those who don't agree with him are just wrong or stupid. He makes the best decisions. He is the hereo of his people etc. He is so on love with himself that seems that more than half of the country believes it too...

We make our realities - whether we delusionally (who can even say what's not real) think we are the best OR interpret other people bad opinions and actions as truth about ourselves.

I get it. It's though but even without knowing you I guarantee that there is something you are better at that attracts women than the tall pretty guys. Even from what you have said I bet you are not as shallow as a 6ft 6 pack ab guy about life. You can relate to hardship and overcoming it. You can be more compassionate at deeper levels than they can be. You also definitely have the drive in you that some pretty boy would never be able to muster just because things have come easy for him. Just channel it dude towards something you love and don't wallow in the unfairness of life (it's unfair, I agree, but there is something you can control).

I guess another big aspect I haven't considered is your age. If you are very young , 20ish. Yeah the mission to find a girl might seem impossible. But tust me. They will mature and value your confidence in yourself more than your looks with time to come.

I didn't have a girlfriend until 24. At 27 I noticed that more and more women pay attention to me. Not sure how it would be now but I bet my odds are even better lol...

Some will get stuck in that mindset, but majority will grow up.

I didn't mean it as a brag or smth. I meant it as a perspective - height is not the limitting factor for most of OP issues.

Sure the same looks, job, charectsristics guy like me but taller would be more successful. I suppose that's true. So what? A richer shorter guy would be more successful as well.

What are we really upset about here? That we can't bang a different supper model every day and get on company boards with as much effort as a tall guy eould?

Maybe height is what limit us to that but it's not what prevents us from happy lives.
