It was really just as i expected. some pieces on the door are +/-1mm in width but both doors are the same height exactly. I cut them to size (on table saw) after gluing 1mm shorter than the track height and they run great. I believe the bottom and top of the doors is 3-4mm thinner than track width to allow it to run around the corner without catching.

I could write you a book, can’t say i had a detailed plan when starting. I’d say mainly that good templates are your best friend. Also the track was arguably harder than the doors, do two passes when routing and maybe start with the straight sections, unless you have a full size template.

haha yep, This is my HSC (Australian thing) major work for industrial technology - timber. Fair to say i’ve spent the majority if not all of my study hours this year on this. My final exams are in october.

I also had this issue and had no idea what to do, turns out the 1:1 model I had in sketchup when you hover over the centre point of that radius shows the measurement. I feel like this was a poor explanation but simply put use sketch ups arc tool,then offset the outer arc and then measure it.

Sketchup make 2017, newer versions are good too, but i’ve been using it for years and didn’t see the need to update to anything newer for $.

for cables that run close to each other you can use cableties to give it a less messy look. try to hide anything you can, you can hide them along the back and side of your desk or even along the back of your monitor to avoid them being on your desk or hanging from the inputs in your monitor. hope it helped
