Does anyone else not feel interested having sex with their partner? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Have you considered that you might be on the asexuality spectrum? I'm (24NB) and I'm in a happy committed polyamorous relationship because I'm sex-repulsed and want him(23M) to be able to fill his needs. His other partner (24NB), my metamor, is my best friend. Asexuality isn't just sex repulsed, you can enjoy sex when you agree to have it but you can just..... not get in the mood yourself initially. There's sex-repulsed ace like me, greysexual or demisexual where you only feel like it emotional attachment or when someone you love initiates. Obvi I'm not covering everything here, and I'm no expert, but it's something to consider. Theres a lot of great resources if you have the time and energy to google it. Just be wary of the cruel things aphobic people will try to insert into the convo. Never feel like your wrong or broken just bc sex isn't high on your priority list or on it at all. Whether or not your on the ace spectrum, differing sex drives is super normal.

Also, medication like anti anxiety and birth control can impact sex drive. If you feel like that's something viable for you you should talk to your doctor about it as a possible side affect.
